Hi Beejay
Looks Good
Will the gauge placement comply with ADR requirements in NSW?

Hi Beejay,
Your dash looks fantastic.
Out of curiosity, what type of gauges are you using??

Thanks guys.

The gauges are VDO Heritage Gold Series. The dash insert is from Billet Specialities. Definately not legal, but the gauges will be in by themselves for engineering.

I think I will probably go for a painted dash to match the body. Dare to be different.

Phil,

I will give you a yell when I get the dash shaped better to suit the body.

Cheers,

Ben

Looks good
The position of the guages would not be allowed in SA as they need to be on the right side of centre rules must be a bit different for you guys (i hope)

I had an Xtrail that had the gauges in the middle, but I think I read somewhere that its OK if they are angled towards the driver.....dont quote me on that though

I think the rules are either different or slightly relaxed for imported mass produced cars. I've recently bought a Forester which had tinted windows a lot darker than normally allowed in Aust. I was told that because it was legal in Japan and that the car was imported that way that everything is ok.
Not sure what would happen if I ever need to repalce a window
