Cobra or fish tank ?
Picked up my car on Friday.
Put the kit on the trailer, tied it on checked the straps once, then twice and then a third time. Who said I was worried it was going to fall off.
All systems go, got 50km south of Sydney and it started to rain and down it came, did not stop till 50km from Melbourne.
By the time I got home the water was nearly up to the door sills. So if I get distracted with the build (like some other people) instead of fiddling bigger and better go fast parts, I can always turn into a fish tank cause I knows it holds water.
For now though I have to go and bail out the water and give it its first wash, inside and out. Then the blodd, sweat and tears will begin and more than likely lots of swearing.

Good news about picking up your new baby. I remember my trip very well with the CR on the tandem tightly strapped down. My dad & I drove up to Hornsby strapped it on tandom, handed over the cheque & drove straight back to Melb.
I will give you a call to catchup and look forward to seeing you cobra

Good luck with the build!
I did the opposite trip, as my car was bought from Melbourne. Must have checked those straps about 20 times on the way home.

The trip home
It's a great feeling the day you pick up the baby.
Pete and I were at Ian's shop in the morning before he was, and could not wait to strap it on the car trailer. Phil was there as well, and I recall him saying that we looked liked kid's in a candy store.
Congrats on picking up the beast and have fun with the build, it is really great fun..
