Hi All,

Have just registered as a member of the forum and look forward to sharing and learning from some of you more experienced builders. I purchased a Classic Revival in Feb this year and am about get the chassis onto slave wheels over the next couple of weeks before refitting body. Will be attending Vic Cobra Club meeting tonight at German Club, would appreciate if someone can confirm that it is tonight.

Hi Nigel and welcome to the Forum.

Yes the meeting is tonight and I'll be there. Looking forward to catching up with another Victorian CR builder.

Cheers

Default CR Invasion from the South

The number of CR's heading south from Hornsby is a very steady stream. In a couple of years time at Winton, there will need to be a new category for VIC CR's !! Purely because Aussie Mike may have finished his (2009 Shelby fest), and the VIC contingent, will be able to go around to Mike's shed and take measurements.

NSW CR builders can we organise a few of us to go down to VIC. Kidnap Mike, bring him back to NSW, lock him in a shed with only enough parts to finish our CR's. I think I have a cunning plan.

OK, maybe enough to put a blower and some other go fast bits on

Welcome Nigel.

This is the start of your new life.

I barely remember my dull and boring existance before I got my first Cobra chassis and became a member of the club.

Just curious, what build number is your CR. Just wondering how many have been sold. I know a lot are in build stage, just sad you don't see many at the meets etc...well not yet.

Welcome to the Club Nigel. I am sure you will be in good hands with Mike and your Aussie contengent. But, if you get hung up on something late at night feel free to post your questions here because "The Sun Never Sets on the Cobra Empire" (kinda stole that one). AKA there is lots of help to be found here and some of us actually know what we are talking about.

My chassis is CR 3202 if that equates to kits built, there is a heap of them out there somewhere.

I reckon Ian just grabs any old chassis plate out of the box. I think mine is CR3143 but I'll check it tonight.

Might have to start up a register.

Cheers

Seems that the CR is a very good kit only let down by the instruction manual. Had any of you CR builders thought of getting together and writing the definitive manual? Given the numbers of CR's being made it could be a money spinner, not to mention a great resource to frustrated builders.

Your post and the whole discussion about this place being a CR support group reminded me think of a Dilbert cartoon I was looking at on my desk calender.

Hope you all get a laugh out of it like I did.

Cheers
