Default Engine Rebuild

Hi Mikey,

Well it is getting exciting. We pulled the engine to bits last weekend only to find a little problem with the bearing on #6, so off to the machine shop for the crank, and we now have a very leight weight LS1 ... well we kinda have a big lump of aluminium..

This is what greeted us on removing #6 bearing ...

However, the wheels look great. IMHO... but I may be biased ..

Mikey, I can't wait until we get to the wiring stage, you guys are not far off now.

Cheers

Hi Churchy,
Nice looking wheels.
What size wheels & offsets did you end up going with??

Hopefully it wont be too long before I can put some wheels on my chariot. Out of curiosity, did you keep with the Jag front and Ford Rear patterns??

Luke...

Default Wheels

Hi Luke,

We ended up keeping the Ford and Jag stud patterns. It was easier, and I'm not all that smart. So the confusion factor was a big play in this.

We ended up going with a 3" front space, and I am not sure what the offset is. Ian recommends a 2.5" front space for both, and with the help of Pneall, Philm, Mikey and Beejay (thanks for all the trail fits), we choose the 3" front space for both front and rear. This woudl change the offset, so not sure what it was.

Philm, orange overalls are a very long story, and Pete is wearing them. I have a set of shiny white ones. Next time we catch up .

Talking Prison issue Orange

Boys,

These overalls were a birthday gift from one Churchie. they have an embroidered logo on the back (http://www.fourcorks.com.au) , with my name underneath and the words "Chief Engineer"

Churchie has a matching pair of white ones. His are bib & brace.
I have a lovely photo of Mr Churhchill wrking at the lathe, complete with safety glasses. Its a beauty - straight out of the pages of your high school metal work book !

I'll post it tonight

Pete
