Thanks Leeroy,

Its the standard VL commodore power steering rack, because I using the Holden V8 I used standard VN pump and brackets. I dont know pump is used on an LS1 but I wouldn't think that it would need much modification to make it fit.

Thanks Nassty,

Used Paul Bottomley from APS in Heidelberg, had my disputes with him but generally he was fair and reasonable. Interestingly I went and saw him on Friday to show him the finished car. They have just taken over from Roaring forties. Would love to build a GT40 but would have to sell the Cobra. Must keep playing lotto.

Still undecided on what pump to use.

Craig,

Gen III pump is the obvious choice, but if I use one then I have to be careful where to relocate the alternator.

Is your alternator on the original brackets, and if so have you notched the chassis?

Hi Beejay
No notching here, my chassis was the LS1 Guinea pig I had to relocate mine but I can still just bolt in the power steering pump
