Is the inside edge of the front rim hitting on the tie rod end on the steering? This is close on a 17x8" rim with 5 1/2" back space. It'll be even closer with the smaller 15" rim.
The rear should clear. The only thing I can think of that might hit is the spring and this will depend on where your lower shock mount is located.
How about a couple of pics to show what the problem is.
Cheers

To gain additional clearance you could try doing a heim joint conversion and mounting the rod ends on top of the steering arms. I originally did this with plans for 9" wide front rims and to improve the bump steer (rather than dropping the rack).
Cheers

Hey Uncle Mike.....that's a mighty glossy caliper you have there....what sorta paint is that?
And......
When you gonna get into CAD and build up a file to mill those calipers outta billet aluminium.
Would save about 6kg a wheel I reckon.
Back to the regular programing ....

Hey Les...............
What gets me is how bloody shiny Mike's bits are - obviously hasn't been around yet
I think his paint must have been bought in the Valley - You often see quite a bit of red around there
