The 2006 Cobra Nationals
OK, I'm getting excited...who's going, who's driving their car or who's trailering, who's racing, who's the dark horse and who can tell the best stories from previous years..
This "could" be my first year to ""Goul""bourne....
(1) I hope to be going
(2) Trailering it down. Dunno whether the Rangie pulling t will make it tho..
(3) Definitely racing.. Got to prove to OzVenom I can peddle the dam thing..
(4) Not me....
(5) No idea..do tell

I'm going...even trying to get the GT40 back on the road for it...otherwise I'll just bum a lift like I normally do.
My brother will be bringing down the Black Harrison again.
Warrick is hoping to get a Harrison Daytona Coupe down there.
We will have the usual suspects(Warrick, Ron, Scott, Paul, Peter, Ashley...), I don't expect a big jump in QLD numbers...but you never know.

Hey Matt, have just checked out your gallery and I reckon you should finish painting that fence before you do any more work on the cobra. No fun-time until you finish your chores! See you at the breakfast.

Ok, this is going to be bigger than big.
We have officially 34 QLDers coming to the Nationals.
That's:
14 x Cobra's
1 x Daytona
2 x GT40's
Would be 3 x GT40's if mine was going. But I've got too much work on to get it ready in time...so chances are looking slim. Looks like I'm driving the tools, parts & wheel ute down again.
So come on all you slackers sitting on the fence, make the commitment to come...that's if you have the balls for it.

Are you guys getting excited yet?
This year will be the largest attendance ever by the QLD Club at National event.
We now have 36 people coming on the 7 day trip which is the Nationals....
By my count that means:
16 x Cobra
2 x GT40
1 x Daytona
For those sitting on the fence, you know you want to, do whatever it takes to make it happen.
And for those Sydney members, you just have no excuse in my books.
Even my wife is able to make it this year.

What are your plans, Phil?
I'm planning to leave early Friday for the practice session. Haven't decided if I'll drive or tow.

Make the most of it.
HI Richard,
karen and I are heading down on the Thursday, if we get there early enough we may try and get a few laps as the track is open for practice.
We are hopefully driving down but may even take 2 cars, with 2 drivers we need to take 2 helmets etc etc and I dont think we will have enough room in the boot, expecially with the 2 subs in there now!!!
As there is alot new in the car it would be good to get a couple of days to sort out the car with no real pressure.
Can't wait
Phil

2 subs, Phil?
Seems like we'll hear you before we see you!
Doof,doof.
Like you said, "Can't wait".
Leeroy: just check Phil's subs aren't a disguise for a go-fast bottle or two!

Still no paint.
Not to disappoint the car still has no paint, looks the same but may sound a little different.

Paint just makes it slower. You tend to drive cars harder if they are not painted/finished.
Paint also adds unwanted weight.
So now you guys know why the Harrison is not painted. :-)
I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing that new engine of yours Phil.
