Thanks people for that bit of information. Seems like others also took note on the work done in 450KW. Might give them a call tomorrow and see what the damage is.

Bananas, well maybe in about three months the price will start to go down. Up here banana farmers are just starting to 'bag' the bunches. The only problem for them is that every other farmer is 'bagging' the bunches as well. At least you'll win because instead of $130 a box it'll drop down to $8 and bananas will once again become affordable.

OzVenom(Scott) was the wizard that built 450KW for Paul. So he would know it better than anyone else. He also helped us throughout our Harrison build. We based our Harrison off what Scott had done with his Black Harrison Beast and Scott provided the right advice & fabrication work to make it happen. Scott also recently fitted it with a turbo.

..Bananas and Daytona's in one 'Thread"....
The Harrison Daytona photos certainly look great.
Looks like Warrick has gone for a 'Guardsman Blue' there?
If the bolt on bits are also true to detaill this will be one hell of a coupe.
Look forward to seeing it at the Nationals. Great product Harrisons'

Dru actually went with a current Mitsubishi colour. It has one of the original Daytona type stripe patterns on it. The Mitsubishi colour is a really good choice, captures that original Daytona look, but with a more modern colour.
Don't worry it's got some cool old school stuff. Wait till you see the wheels/tyres on it.
Yeah, Harrison are constantly lifting their game, not happy with being just another Cobra/Daytona replica builder.

Why not have both? That would make a trifecta.

Stopped in and checked out the Daytona today.
Holy Cow!!! Dru has made a lot of progress.
All plumbing, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, fuel tank, exhausts, battery, wipers etc are in. I think they just have to do wiring, interior and few odds and sods and it will be complete. Attention to detail is amazing.
It will definitely be at the Nationals.
I've heard that Warwick Harrison's wife was so impressed with Dru's Daytona, that she has put in an order for one.
I'll let you guys know when there are more photos available.

Whoaa look forward to seeing this Daytona at the Nationals.
I was under pressure to stay at work, due to renovations and add ons etc. but may make the trip to the Nationals just to see the latest from Warricks shop.
Pass on my comments on a great looking car..
Ask Warrick to have some pricing there also..

Bernie
Not too sure about Harrison's pricing but I am sure he could do it for a little better than the $12million ($US or $AU - does it really make a difference at that price!!) quoted in this article.

Very interesting!!

Craig,
That pic is like a who's who of the QLD Cobra Club.............
Spook is weighing up the hoist option (Cobra on top / Rangie on top)
Paul Gillis is thinking "I like that idea. I'll add it to my GT40"
Warrick is saying "The Daytona is that way"
And the girls are saying "not more bloody cars, I hope hubby realises he's got an afternoon in the garden today"

It interesting to see the number of views of this post.
Maybe Warrick is onto a winner.
As Bernie has implied it would be curious to know what the pricing levels will be. Maybe in line with a GT40????
Does anyone know if Superformance has sold a Daytona in Aus yet? Bit pricy for me.
A Daytona for $110k built. Now that would be interesting

I'm fairly confident that Daytona would cost much less than GT40. GT40's just have too much extra expense over Cobra/Daytona. I seriously worked out the cost to build a GT40 a while back, just not worth it. So jumped on a completed car that was in need of a freshen up.
I expect Daytona to be be only slightly more expensive than Cobra. The Daytona body & chassis will be more expensive, much more to it(tilt front, roof, rear spolier, ducts etc)but you get rollbar, windscreen etc. For Cobra roll bar & windscreen you are looking at a couple of grand.
Mind you I haven't heard of pricing from Warwick yet.
I saw some trick stuff on that daytona. On Harrison's you always see equivalent of a strut brace(Daytona doesn't have it bolted in yet). But on the Daytona Warwick had also added a tubular brace across the bottom of the engine mounts. That idea might have come from race development Warwick does.
