Snake Bite manufacture an adaptor to bolt 6-bolt moto-lita wheels to standard autotechnica, momo etc bosses.
Are you just after the horn badge or a complete horn mechanism. I know the 9 bolt wheels have functioning horns, but not sure about 6 bolt wheels.
Don at Snake Bite seems to be the expert when it comes to fitting moto-lita wheels. Might be worth a phone call.
Let us know what you find out.

Yes, Don looked after me with the wheel and all necessary parts
My wheel has the operating horn and is the 9 bolt. Again Don is possibly the best option.
If no luck there try Enzo or Paula at 'Finishline' on this forum. They ship within days and you will have no problem with mail costs etc. being cheaper in the States

Thought I would resurrect this old thread with a related question. I'm looking to buy the 9 bolt moto-lita wheel from finishline while the dollar is good and I thought I would see if anyone has used this combo before making a phone call to the States.
I have an early 90s Ford Laser column in my car. Does anyone know whether the following boss adapter (Ford option) will fit directly onto the column?
Ford is Ford, right?
Boss Adapter, 9 Bolts. And the wheel is here.
There's a similar one on snakebite (below) but without an adapter on the back. Eg, Moto-Lita MK3(9 bolt) Steering Wheel Adapter
Any thoughts?

Ford is Ford, but a Laser is a Mazda.

So you're saying it's likely the Ford adapter will fit my Laser column? Or that Ford Laser is actually Mazda 323?

Ford's not Ford when it's actually a Mazda 323. That's what a Ford Laser is underneath that badge.
I got a standard 6 bolt boss which is pretty common. I bought a SAAS one as they were a one piece aluminum casting that I could machine the surface of (Many are made with a plastic sleeve over the outside). I then machined up an adapter ring to step from the 6 bolt pattern to the larger 9 bolt circle.
Cheers

Thanks Mike. Where did you get that centre AC badge from? And does the horn work with that setup?

I have the same setup as Mike (he made it for me) and it all works wonderfully.

Yep the horn works.
Here is a boss kit for column to 6 bolt, then Mike machined up an adapter for wheel to boss kit.

Sambo,
The adapted pictured fits onto any 6 hole boss. Motolita do not make a lazer/323 boss anymore, instead they ask customers to use the adapter.
I bought a 15" Mark4 leather wheel, billet horn centre, 6 to 9 hole boss adapter, landed cost $450, direct from MotoLita. Snakebite were not even close to that price. The AUD is sooo good atm.

Yeah I suspect snakebite are sitting on stock purchased when the dollar wasn't so good. I found this 9 bolt Mk3 wheel on eBay, works out to $220 AUD landed.
I can't see a 9 bolt wheel on the moto-lita website, only the 6 bolt which appears to be the original spec. Is there any advantedge going to a 9 bolt? Seems more of a hassle having to make adapters to suit a 6 bolt boss.

The 9 bolt pattern is a signature for Motolita.
I'm sure they still do 6 bolt wheels.
Send them an email, their customer service was very good.
Cheers

Only if you are worried what the few 'purists' will say, no one else will notice or give a rats.
