Thanks to all who I caught up with!
Well, what can I say, first time out and had the best weekend ever! Thanks to all for the great comments on my car! I was very, very proud of the way it turned out. Mando, great catching up with you and Joe and Alfonso, Phil Mizzi, always fun catching up as we always do at breaky, Phil Neal, thankyou for the great compliments on my car, Spooky, your car looked magic. Richard Ferguson, great to have a catch up and a laugh at the same time, your car is as always super!, Cameron Parsons, thanks for the compliments as well, great job on the track by the way. I just wanted to say I rode on cloud nine all weekend and got to spend some time with a heap of other people and had a ball. The car was pretty good for a first timer, still just on 100 klms travelled and still way off being run in, I didn't even check the tyre pressure before going out on the track (oops). Not very good times but 5 trophies on inaugural outing has to be the biggest buzz ever! Next year I hope to be more competitive or at least improve my times somewhat!
Hope to do it all over again!
Stef
ps: Don't know how to upload any pics on this thread! (stupid I know)

beautiful machine
Stef,
a pleasure to meet you and a pleasure to see your machine finally on the track. It is a credit to your patience and determination to get the results you were after and I believe you have done that. Its a real head turner.

Thankyou all, I am still smiling from ear to ear, downloaded pics of first day out of workshop in my gallery, does anyone know how to post these pics onto this thread? Ron 61, I know you can, if you are out there.

Stef it was great to meet you, mind you I met so many new faces this year that I am struggling to put a name to a face now. I bet you are the same.
Your Robnell is amazing, not surprised at all with all the trophies you took home.
I should have some great photos of your car on the track, will post them here when I get a chance.

Got to agree, in my view the best lookin Cobra I've seen, congrats Stef.
A lot of fine cars there, but another one that caught my eye was Spooky's black beast. It's sometimes risky going for that different look, but this one really looks the goods.
Now for eveyone that didn't get to Wakefield, it was not a bleak cold day, all those bods rugged up in the photo with Stef on the grass, must be Queenslanders, note Sydneysider Geoff Bryant there in a T-shirt

Nats
Yeah I second all that has been said above... Loved everyones cars.... I am looking forward to next year with bells on..
Dave, you're right...I can be risky building something different but I built it for me and my tastes so I'm really happy with the result. Stefanogs No: 96 is a beautiful car, in fact all the cars on show we're lovely. At teh end of the day if you like what you're driving that's all that matters...
See u next year!

Hey Craig, the reason is because of the Goodyears not being DOT approved, therefore throwing me into open class. The car has been fully road registered for 16 years!: 3DSMILE:

Stef, I had already worked out the answer, when I thought about the tyres you were running. It could only be rego or tyres.
16 years is definitely getting old for a replica. Our first build is only 9 years old this year.
Thanks.

Craig, 16 years may be getting old but it was factory built and used as the 1990 Melbourne Motorshow car. During the complete "makeover" as I like to call it, almost everything was replaced or upgraded so not much left of the 16year old car, plus, the reason behind all this is the almost extinct Carby rego, my aim was to hopefully replicate every single detail and with injection this would not be possible.
Stefano
