GT40 is still not back together. My brother and I did spend a day on it over xmas, so that was cool. Just too busy working.
Latest info about Club Track day here: http://www.cobracarclubqld.org.au/Ne...RacewayFeb11th
38 starters...woohoo.
Would be also great to get a good turn out of spectators. Plenty of jobs like marshalling etc to keep the keen spectators busy. I will certainly be marshalling.
THIS IS GOING TO BE A FANTASTIC DAY. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU MISS IT.

Looking forward to it Phil.
Looks like we have got a bit of interest in Thursday night drags at Willowbank. Looks like at least 3 - 4 Cobra's. I'll be going out for a look.

Went to the drags Thursday night. Ended up being a late one, didn't get home to after 12pm. You should have seen us trying to quietly unload the Cobra, nothing sounds quiet at that time of night.
Good turn up of Cobra's: Phil/Karen, Warren, John, Pete & Ashley. And half a dozen lookers.
Phil & Karen had a ball by the looks of it. Phil's best time was 11.7, I think Karen did a 12.6. They were running Mickey's. I'm guessing they were not giving it 100% as the Cobra still needs to run on Sunday.
The QLD gang were in the 12's. John's best was 12.2, I think Warren was also 12.2, Pete did 12.3, Ashley was towards the higher 12's. The QLD boys seemed to be taking it easy and John was running some old front tyres on the rear, as that's the only road legal tyres he had...so was fun seeing him launch with those razer blades. Also having trouble selecting gears with his new seat.
Just took video footage, the photo guy was there, so left it up to him to get the shots. I know Phil/Karen & Pete grabbed some photos off him.
A good time was had by all.

Craig,
I am jealous....
Look's like some nice consistent times in there. I'll be looking for the pics somewhere in cyberspace.
The excitement here is all around Chinese New Year. We are going fireworks shopping today... If I can't drive I may as well blow something up
Cheers
Cameron

How long will it take to get there from Redlands.
Are there food facilities there to keep the kids happy.

Warwick would be a good couple of hours I guess from you.

Are the Brisbane guys meeting anywhere for the drive up to the track?
It always used to be the BP at Gailes.... Is this still the case?

Nice shots Nick!
Looks like a great track to take some photos and to spectate.
There's even green grass and healthy trees in the backgound!
It's a shame that most of the tracks in NSW resemble a dustbowl.
Stephen.

Hey Steve, we might have nice green trees but what we lack is water.
Our dams are nearly dry and if we don't get rain in the catchments soon we'll be drinking our own urine.

Hey Les,
I'm working on the Bundamba Recycling Sewage Project and as you have shown such an interest in your own urine I'll make an extra effort to ensure what you drink is of an acceptable standard to you "Northerners". Shouldn't require too much work considering what you drink now
Excellent pics and obviously the day was enjoyed by all. Beats re-fitting a timber caravan out!!!
