Here is something similar but more basic for those who don't like EFI.

How about a carby LS1/2?.... this will allow you to do that.

In NSW the fuel injection had to be stock and unadjustable...that sucked. I hope vic roads have seen more common sense...!

Edelbrock do a whole package that includes thier manifold, the MSD controller (rebadged with edelbrock) and a wiring loom for the coils.

Check out the test that Super Chevy magazine did on one.
LS1 Carb article

My injection setup ran flawlessly at Winton. However I have no basis for comparison between the manifold setups.

I can't get over how much power this thing makes. It was frighteningly fast in my inexperienced hands. I started out in a slower group because no one knew how the car would run. I found I was catching and passing many of the cars in my group and I think it was more down to straight line speed than my ability to turn corners. I got a run in another group later and caught and passed several of them too. It should pull some good lap times when I learn how to stop and turn corners.

I still feel like bursting into maniacal laughter thinking about it.

Cheers

Mike, your injection system should be heaps better than the standard system at upper rev limits.

You may loose a little down low but gearing takes care of that...we are traction challenged after all.

And...you get the benefit of lovely induction noise.

Aussie Mike, I'm glad to hear it runs that well considering it's just a bench tune...

I was a little concerned about the new manifold.
Did you come across any flat spots anywhere, or any other problems???

I might have to call you to find out all the juicy details.....

P.S Love your "aero screen" and new paint job!
