Talking A W E S O M E long weekend for the Vics

The 5th Annual 'Great Alpine Road' trip was run this weekend.
Once again this year’s event was a fantastic 4 days touring on some of the best driving roads in the country.
13 Cobras and 2 sedans made the journey across the roof of Victoria.

I'm also hanging out to hear how the Phillip Island Classic went this weekend.
I believe we also had a dozen Cobra Car Club members on display at the Phillip Island circuit.

Congratulations to Tony, Terry and the club for putting up two awesome events for the Vic’s this Labour Day long weekend.

Default Phillip Island

This was my first time at the Island Classic and first Club run.

Nice to be travelling in convoy with some other Cobra's

The organisers gave the club 10 passes but we managed to get 12 in (I snuck in on Theo's coat tails

Here is our allocated bit of the paddock on the main straight opposite the pits and corporate hospitality area.

Here are some formula5000's

I know it gets trotted out and about but its the first time I've ever seen and it is an absolute jewel in the flesh - the winner of the 1966 world championship.

and some thing else getting in the way of my shot of the porsche...

must remember the ear plugs for the ride next time

Heres a photo of Stu receiving the rock that killed his sump on last year's trip, mounted as a trophy.
Tony presented it on the Friday night after a great meal in Beachworth.

Hey Jason,
Looks similar to our little shindig in Canberra a couple of weeks ago.Nothing better than a lineup of Cobras

Cheers
