I seem to be turned towards the Commodore diff, probably a VN as I see they can be picked up cheep and dont run the IRS (Which i have on my VS and I hate it).
Is the Commodore diff the same with as the cobra's require, or will it need to be shortened.
Thanks for all the input.
Nathan

I am running a VN commodore BTR diff with a Torana setup in a Homebush kit, on my third ratio looking for more speed and pull out of courners, started with 3.08 went to 3.45 and now running 3.93. The 3.93 is a skyline crown and pinion, just need bushes to make the bolts fit snug. I have had these three ratios in 6 years ?????
Motor makes about 350 HP or 370 KW ( photo attached) and every time I change the ratio the bearings are f...ed, but never had a problem while driving. I am running synthetic diff oil.
This car is mainly driven at maximum revs on weekends at the track. The diff is stronger than the gearbox ( broke one of those) the adjustable upper arms (photo attached) as I broke both of those the other weekend getting in some burnout practice.
I would recommend the BTR diff ( VN) the most suitable and cheapest.
Good luck
Snaken
