I saw this stuff on a RIDES program... the shock absorber is loaded with some sort of metallic sludge / liquid and is then controlled with magnets and computers and lots of dollars.. Nice to have but when it goes wrong ? Buy more after the crash ! Back in the sixtys technology was crude and drivers really knew how to manipulate a machine. Look at Brocky. Technology is wonderful but I like a car that you have to drive. not ride.

It's preety trick,

I think holden have something similar by delphi in the Grange and possibly top line HSV but it just controls shocks they still use a spring.

Cheers

The video was Froggy, but the suspension system is by the American company, Bose. Here's a link to their site: Click here.

As I understand it, a conventional suspension uses a combination of springs and dampers to determine how much a wheel moves under a given set of circumstances. Any particular combination yields a compromise that may be optimized for either handling or comfort, but not both. The Bose suspension replaces the springs and dampers with a set of computer controlled linear electric motors than can move each wheel up or down. If the sensing and controlling algorithms are right, you can have both handling and comfort.
