Default New STreet Wheels

Hi all, for those of you who have been watching my threads I had been trying to work through the maze of issues relating to the fitment of Halibrand style wheels to my Cobra working aorund Skyline brake clearance issues. DRAGWAY Wheels were IMO the nicest BUT the price and the lack of deep dishness available based on my set up had me try something different.

So I bought some Jap spec 17 inch alloy lightweight race wheels with 255 and 275 rubber with some Genuine Shelby Spinners which I "found". With some Ozvenom magic we made some little mods to fit them and now the retro rocket has some new street feet! Not too mention about 6G left over after the saving on teh halibrands to spend on other small improvements.....

Check out my gallery for pics. Apologies about the jelopy stuck in frame to the rear of my car but a certain club pres loves the limelight...... And being close to my bum as well for some bent reason...

Spook,

Very Ben Hurrish

How about polished black spinners? - would go well with the body colour

Still looks the business.

I'm in my boot bringing it up to spec.

Carbon fibre here and there, plush pile carpet and a few other shiny bits.

Always kept the boot shut at shows, but your's inspired me to rip the old out and bring a bit of style.

Default Spinners

Hey Pete, yes I hear you about the black spinner idea but I am getting some stone guards off SNAKEBITE so I think the chrome will be better.....

We will have to meet up at the next show... or even more appealing the next club track day or SAS...

I think my handling would let me down on a track.

Straight line pretty good, but the corners would be fun - thats the only bit of my Cobra which is like the originals

Hope to get down to the next breakfast assuming I can get back to drop one of my son's off at the Airport for the start of his european tour.

Kids of today seem to have more money than I ever had. May be its because they stay living at home until there 30's

Our driveway is a bit like Warrens', 3 adult cars, 3 kids cars and one written off; not to mention their girlfriends etc etc.

Sound like a whinging pome

Hey Peter , I've seen your driveway when it was a bit crowded .....but I think you liked the look of it that day.
