Default Happy Camper

Hey All

My Harrison's kit had its first birthday on Saturday. As a form of celebration, I picked it up from the painters.

So now, all I have to do is, ... put the whole thing together!!!

Some photos, more in the gallery.

Geof

Looks great Geof... getting close now I bet. Is that an access panel you've created inside the front passenger wheel arch (above)?

Looks great.

Doesn't take long to bolt it back together.

Wait till you have a bit of the outside stuff back on, it will look twice as good as it does now. For me that was the most satisfying part of the build.

Nice pick up Paul!!

Yes - it is access for the battery which sits in the space in front of the passenger's footwell.

Interesting mod you've done there. What have you done to keep it watertight?

Geof

Yes once you put some of the chrome bits on the colour will look even more brilliant. Twelve months to get to this stage is pretty fast moving...

You'll be driving soon..

It is an open wheeler of some sort. Angelo (painter) did tell me but I was drooling over the new paint on the Cobra so all the info went in one ear and out the other. The car is campaigned by a Gold Coast team and will be racing somewhere in July (if I recall rightly!)

Car looks fanatastic

If you don't mind me asking what brand of car did the blue and silver come from.

The paint for both the base and the stripes are GMH colours. The blue is Impulse Metallic from the VY/Z/E Commodore series and the Silver - aka metallic grey - is (wait for it ...) Hi Ho Silver , an HSV colour.

Cheers

Geof

Thanks for the info I am a long way off painting but it is really hard to get an idea of what a colour is really like unless you see it in real life.

Beautiful paint job, the real satisfaction starts now when the shiny bits go on and it starts to look like a real car. ENJOY !!
