Default Bush trip

Well everyone, I recently spent 9 days out bush with my new job and had a great old time checking out some old cars that I found whilst away.
I have attached afew pics in here, there are more in my gallery and I will try to get all 155 odd pics into photo bucket tomorrow.

I will start with the Monaro pics, as can be seen the body is pretty knackered, I have been given permission to take this car (and any others I like) home.
I have been advised from another forum that this car is a HG GTS 6 cyl 4 speed manual, rally red exterior and black interior.

If I cannot organise the crusher to bring it home for me then I will be up for approx $600.00 in fuel costs.
Its saving grace is that it has not been burnt, it still has the drivers bucket seat, the dash facia (cracked) and gauges in place, the door trims and inner panels are there but they are stuffed.

Next is a pic of a HT? with the chev engine.
This car is only 10 metres away from the Monaro.
It appears to be a genuine factory fitted chev (guessing 327?)
I thought it would make a good donor for the Monaro.

Next is a car that I nearly missed, I was attracted by the stripe on the guard, it may mean nothing but I dont know?
I do have the chassis number for this car if there is anyone who could identify it from the number?

There are even plenty of cars out there for you Phil M, to get your new project finished?

Mmm the last photo is the GT HO Phase III. Not worth worrying about as they are only bringing $600,000 at auction...

Leave it for a few more years.

What took you out bush with work. Or is this a new job..

Your now the repossession person at GMH Alice Springs..

Yeah I had a change of job mid January.
I was not as happy as I should have been with the car company I worked with and decided it was time for a change.
I know work as the purchasing manager for an Aboriginal Health organisation, it is called Nganampa Health (Nganampa means = our own) and we have 6 permanantly staffed clinics and 3 clinics that are part time staffed.
The area is in South Australia, from the highway, west to the WA border and down as far as Marla.

I am really enjoying the new job and loving getting out and about, seeing some of this country.

Yes, I remember your post - great reading

(2 would be greedy - dont you agree?)

Not sure that I actually have the space but one can dream.

with regard to the falcon(s) if the plate starts with JG33 (or JG66 in the case of the XA/XB coupes) you've struck GT gold - otherwise it is what it is (a mess)

Happy carcass pickings
