Default Thank God that's Over!

Following in the footsteps of my idol Rebel1, I decided to get myself a 'first wife'.

Everything went wrong in this shot but for some reason I still like the 'fuzzy go fast look'

WELL!, now you gone and done it. Your independence ends forthwith.

She ( the Bride) looks a real sweety. Looks like a keeper.

Now remember, whenever you're together in public always introduce her as " The first wife"

There are two reasons for this:

1....keeps her on her toes.
2....Allows any unattached ladies listening to think that you're still available.

Seriously tho Blair, congrats mate, hope all goes well for both of you.

Michael,
congrats mate.
You realise of course that now you're married the sex starts to drop off and then seems to pick up dramatically, this usually indicates that pregnancy isn't far away. At this point the wife is still lovy dovy, then she has the kid, suddenly reality sets in about children, the sex stops totally except when you finally complain about getting none and then it becomes an occasional occurance.
At some point in time after the child turns 4 or 5 or another one arrives, the second wife starts to look very good, then bingo divorce, first wife and the lawyers take all your money (hide the cobra).
Good times are had drinking with the mates, the body starts to complain but hell you're having a great time. The second potential wife comes on the scene cleans up your act is all lovy dovy and the story starts again.
Gawd, I hope the second wife doesn't see this or I'll be looking for a third.

Mate, in all honesty its great fun to have a partner to share with (not the cobra though) Congrats again and good luck.

Colin

Holy hell now I'm in trouble the second wife has looked over my shoulder and seen the thread oh oh no sex for ever now.

yes well, this would be hodson's evil wife number two (who, incidentally is paying for this mid-life crisis on 4 wheels) and sex might happen more often if he ever got off the bloody cobra site and the mutual self gratification that happens with the rest of you blokes. See, it's true what he says about me. Now I am going to watch state of origin while he whiles away the hours with you lot. Go the Moroon's.

bugger, now I'm in trouble, anyone out there got a spare bed for a few weeks while wife no. 2 confers with her Bad, Bad, Really bad lawyer brother.

Really, Michael, marriage is a wonderful thing, particularly after you learn to grovel. But then you can always take the cobra for a spin.

Colin

Congratulations

I was once there and in the end it cost me Half a million dollars and most of my sanity(thank god I didnt have much to begin with)sanity that is.

I am now almost finished my GT40 build and life will begin again but definitely no more wives.

I may borrow one from time to time but will not get back into that dead end trap.
All the best
Dimi

Thanks fellas for the good wishes and the stories!

Anyone notice the 'Just Married' Rondell? My other Rondells have lasted 3000 kms but I put the 'Just Married' one on and 3 kms down the road off it comes. Oh well, I tried!

I did notice however when doing the Bridal Registry @ Myers that there were no Superchargers, Rods or Cranks in stock. Something very wrong there.
