Default G-Force body out of the Mould

Check out the quality of this thing!! Its almost like a paint job! YES this is straight out of the mould. reduces prep work by heaps its so good you can drive around with it and call it "arctic White" or something, and who would know?

Seriously, the finish is just outstanding.

Rob, most of us on the Aussie forum respect the finish on the new G-force bodies.

Should I also say that that is how it should be. The marine industry has been producing high quality glass hulls for years. The fact that we do paint the bodies is no excuse to produce bodies which are not straight.

G-Force are to be congratulated on that finish.

Cheers
Les

It is a good finish straight out of the mold, probably the best of the Australian manufacturers, BUT........ don't make the mistake I made!!! Either let the body cure naturally (ie many days in the summer sun), or take it to a spray booth and have it baked for a day. By many days in the summer sun, I mean you should actually be able to smell the resin going off, trust me on this.

There are a couple of "pulls" in the sides of the body (near the engine bay vents) that won't become evident till the body is fully cured...... It's too late when the topcoat is already on, I learnt this the hard way (even though I may be the only one that will pick it)......

For info, I painted mine myself and within 6 months of delivery...

When it's out in the sun, you can also drop some black plastic over it. Now that really gets the temperature into the body.

We always cure our bodies before paint. If you paint a green body, you are just asking for trouble down the track.

Or drive it around for a while in gel coat, that also does the trick.

You've certainly got one of the better bodies to leave in gelcoat for a while.
