Better Clarify that Bernie. It's the Victorian Cobra Car Club. The Melbourne Cobra Owners Club is the new splinter club.
Cheers

Thanks Mike. I have edited the Post and put in the Victorian Cobra Club. This club has been in existence for many years.
Thanks I picked up the Melbourne by mistake....

by the way, the casual meet at E shed or somewhere sounds like a great idea.
Myabe we could ask RMC or G-force if we could get together on a saturday at their place for a sausage sizzle. i bit like what Frasers used to do when i had my harley.
then those with cobras could go for run in the arvo or something. ?????

Everyone (and anyone) can meet at my place next Sunday if they wish.....
Not this Sunday though, I'm raising the shed roof this Sunday............
EDIT: I Don't know how you'll go with the sausage sizzle, but good luck.............................................
I could take the Ute for a Run, but I'm not sure that 11's are real exciting..!!!!!!!!!! Except for a Ford man....!!!???!!!

Thread has gone a bit sideways but a couple of pics could go in the mag.
Bobby I'm away for the next couple of weekends how about Sunday 19th Aug?
As far as venue goes it needs to include either a cooked breakfast or beer both would be better.

Rob -contact me if you can get this off the ground! I have been involved in racing for 42 yrs and have been buliding race cars for at least 30 of those years. I looked into CobraClubWA and found that most bought their cars already completed!!!
Hey -Are your feet getting hot in the footwells from the headers?? Is the heat dis-coloring & burning the fiberglass in your engine compartment?? You need my custom built heat shields !!
I own the perfect car for your mag cover also! We showed it this year at the Seattle Roadster Show and smoked the competition! It's a beautifull car. I even had the frame powder coated Candy Black Cherry - along with helmet, jack, stands, and even the fire extinguisher were painted to match. I know..."everybody thinks their own baby is cute" but there really is more to it than just driving it. I have alot of pride in the many hrs that wife & I spent together working on it. What satisfaction!

getting the magazine to fly
I wouldnt have any trouble getting a magazine up and running. but would need club support, and since there is already a national thing happening that everyone is contributng to, I do not want to compete for content. if i had club support I would do it no probs.

Rob - I understand. Shame though, becasue it sounds like you have alot of knowledge to offer.
Peter - thanks for the input! Yeah..I guess I got pretty lucky - I just wanted a Cobra to race and would have been happy at that -- but my wife always wanted a beautiful car to show.... what a compromise, hunh ???! She has always loved chrome etc. and really got into making sure that everthing that wasn't powder coated was either chromed or polished ! I still can't tell who's having more fun with it - her or me ! Ha Ha Ha ! In fact, it was her idea to have the ostrich skin seats heated! We need that here in WA state. It was her that nick-named the car "SumFun". I have been reading about people out there that talk like the car is just for the driver and a very personal thing....but it can be a very personal thing for their other half too, if they find a way to involve them too.
It looks like you showed your car too...where was that picture taken at?

Sumfun,
Macleans Bridge near Brisbane (The only time I took it as its rained every year since - no top - bit of a wuzzz)
I haven't showed recently as the prep work defeats the $15 trophy you can win!!
Plus you have to dust off the trophies, which involves even more work
Instead, decided upon titivation improvements (those jobs that take some time, but don't cost much) updating the car.
