That's great power for an unopened motor with just a tune!!! Not many come close to that, even with the best pipes, UDP's, MAFLess etc.....
How much money are you looking for???

More importantly, what are you replacing it with?

Tell me about it , Sonny, the tuner said that I was very lucky and had a good stock engine.
It would of produced more but the thing started to lean out because of the stock fuel pump.
I'm replacing it with a L76 and putting a nice cam in it.
As for money for the engine make me a offer .

Sounds like you have got a brute of an LS1 there.

Why not chuck a decent stick in this one and forget the L76?

Yeppers... these L76 are great value and heaps of potential. Rumor has it that a cam swop and proper tune and these things will outperform an LS2.

Are you going to swop the reluctor wheels and use your LS1 ECM or gonna use the newer E38 ECM?.

I have a friend up here who has replaced his warm LS1 with a standard L76 in his dunnydore and he is over the moon with the change.

Think I might wait on my cam choice and let all you guys experiment.

Very true.

My post was commenting on rwkw gain Vs $$. If $$ and hassle of engine swapping is not a problem, go the L76.

I think Stiffy was looking at an LS1 for his Daytona project.
