I don't think it really matters what kit you buy.
All have different shapes in the body.
All have different contruction techniques.
All have different engine/trans combos.
All have different pros and cons
And most importantly,
All have been built to varied build quality by the owners.
I wouldn't be tempted to place any kit in a box.
Rather, I would gather as much info as you can about the various kits available, decide what's important to you and then go seek it out.
Ultimately, I think the most important issue is the actual build/construction of the vehicle by its owner. If you were to go to the Nats you would see the whole spectum of build quality available.
Also something else to consider is why the vehicle is being sold. If you were to talk to most owner builders, I think they would be reluctant to sell as they have invested a lot of themselves in the project. If a car has had a few owners then that would raise my eyebrows.
Cheers
Al

I agree with Nasty, you need to list what is important to you in a car and decide from there.
But in saying that you should also make sure you like the look of the body shape of the supplier you decide to go with.
Ie I personally like the small lip on the rear guards that the CR has.
I also like tha fact that the CR does not have a little flat sill panel below the sides of the car.

Thanks for the tip on Sloth. He and I have exchanged emails previously regarding his Cobra. It sounds like a real gem.
I might touch base with him again.

Yep know the car well,it's our Club Pres.Well built but have to like De Types interpretation of a Cobra to appeal. It is stretched to get Pete who about 8 feet tall into it.No rollbar so can't be raced but has legal working sidepipes in the ACT.It's amazing what you find out on this forum,Club pres nominations may be coming up shortly!
Cheers

Flukeyluke,
It could be a DRB on steroids
If you are going to Dougs soon let me know as we are organising a shed run to look at his new Oven and a Daytona that has just arrived.

Stiffy,
You are a great man. I havent planned anything at this stage in relation to Dougs so if there are a few forum members heading up soon I would like to join you guys.
I have just had another look at the pics of Sloths Cobra.
That is pretty much what I want although I accept to get one that good I will have to pay well over $60K.

My 2 bob's worth is that if your not a die hard cobraphile, go for the things you want in it and it's driveability.
Although they all look diferent externally, sitting in one and looking over the bonnet, they all give you the same view and experience.
Me personally, I'm with Stiffy

That Blue DRB looks familiar.
Think I know the owner of that.
