Rocker Cover racing for the Nationals
Hi All,
With the popularity of the rocker cover racing at Shelbyfest and Xmas in July why don't we bring the track setup to the nationals?
There's plenty of downtime between track outings and it would give people something to do while they wait for another drive.
I'm sure there must be some Quenslanders an NSW members that are keen to build and race their rocker covers.
Cheers

Being very new to this forum, can I ask, when and where are the nationals?
Is there a website link to explain what the event is all about?
Regards,
Paul

Well it's a fantastic event, lots of racing, car show, great social nights, the best weekend you have can with or without a Cobra.
Official source of info:
http://www.cobracarclubnsw.org.au/
We have extra some info on the QLD club site:
http://www.cobracarclubqld.org.au/Ca...aNationals2007
On the topic of rocket cover racing, that's a great idea Mike. Bring it on.

The Cobra Nationals is hosted by the NSW Cobra Car Club. It's held at Wakefield Park Raceway in Goulburn NSW on Friday 28th September thru to Sunday 30th September.
Events include timed sprints around the main circuit, a hill climb, 1/8th mile drags and a go to whoa. There's also usually a Show and Shine in downtown Goulburn Saturday morning prior to heading out to the track.
Check out the NSW Cobra Car Club web page for details and entry forms: NSW Cobrea Car Club
Cheers
Edit: Beat me to it Craig

I checked out that link but I could only find the PDF entry form and no further info on the Nationals.
Not sure if I'm reading the entry form correctly... is it $65 for spectators?

$65 if you want to attend all the dinners(Fri, Sat & Sun).
Track attendance over the 3 days is free.

8hrs, we could only wish it was that close.
It's not as far as Shelby Fest for us, now that was a trek.

rocker dont you mean cam cover !!!
Hi mike sound like it could be fun i just have to find time to build one.
I am going to the nats and i have been most generously given the use of a cobra for the event . its lovely stockish 5ltr windsor drb steet cobra which means i will be in the street cobra class this will be fun loads of ambition and no grip.
Its got t/a's on it.
i have just got too remember power is not the only way to go fast.
