Fantastic

Congrats. Now the fun starts. Love the single garage. Plenty of room - don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!

Cheers Geof. We're a bit short on elbow room I agree, but it's only temporary!

Hey that looks exactly like the home garage I bought my part done kit from! Well almost, there was more head room for the body to be slung from the rafters!!
Congrats and happy building!

Thanks Slowy. The "garage" is without power or windows - it's going to be a little oven in summer. At least it will give the resin a chance to settle!

Sambo
Well there it is sitting in the garage - just waiting for you to get started.
The fun begins. Enjoy your build.

Yeah I'm pumped Craig, but I had to rush straight back to work so it was short lived. My g/f said I looked like a little boy dragging himself out of the lolly shop!
First stop... VT Commodore brake conversion. The booster and pedals are ready to go.

Supercheap here we come........
SAMBO,
I know the feeling (just a couple of weeks ago for me)
Its all hard work now, lets organise a shed run in the not to distant future,
I might bring my own chair as room is bit tight in the garage
There isn't even enough room for a fridge That means the build shouldn't take that long.....
A BET, LETS START A SWEEP TO SEE WHO FINISHES FIRST, YOUR COBRA OR THE DAYTONA,,,,,,,,,,

Perhaps Sambo you need to do what I did, turned a 3 car carport and workshop into one large garage.
Mind you I did this whilst researching my cobra build (thinking how the hell was I going to afford it / convince the wife), all on the pretext of needing an enclosed area to continue all year round yacht repairs!
But I suppose you've now run out of time to pre-prepare anyway!
Hope you can open the doors!
Cheers

Slowy, I'm renting this place whilst saving to buy my own... whilst saving to build a Cobra - vicious cycle! Anyway I can't extend the garage but I may look at putting a tarp over the driveway in summer.

Thanks Bernie. I've asked Todd to "borrow" your Cobra and provide us with some motorvation during the build process. Hope that's ok with you.

Hey Sambo I'd guess that much before the comments.
No self respecting motor nut would have a shed that size except perhaps as an area to store their literature, or even the refreshments fridge(s).
But then I guess you also have at least three years to build to current ADR's so you have some time on your side at least!
Happy building

Stiffy, I fear that your budget is bigger than mine (what with a Daytona in the wings) whereas I need about 12 months to save for the engine alone. Anyway you're more than welcome to drop in Sunday, PM me and I'll give you the address - impromptu BBQ. And don't fear, there's a bar fridge in the external laundry to the left of that photo... all under control.

All the fun begins now Paul. Best of luck with it mate.
Don't worry about the size of the shed.....you got a spare bedroom?.....they are great places for storing stuff.
Now....word of advice......dont come into the house having spent all night working on the cobra, and expect the GF to be receptive to your desires ...... doesn't work
Don't ask me how I know.

Haha thanks Les - and you're probably right on all counts. My other half is (so far) really into this project, so long as she's the first passenger or so I am told. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
