The cut off for windsors is 31st Dec07. Not a problem for me

Congrats again Mike!

I'd rather be in the garage than at a desk writing cheques. How is Doug going on your Daytona btw?

Mike, apologies for hijacking your thread. Good luck for next Wednesday!

I'd rather be in my garage rather than my desk right now too.

Cheers

Default Tha'ts great news Mike.

I'm really envious. I have my brand spanking new Gen 4 307 kw engine, 6 speed triptonic trans, MX5 seats, side mirrors, air horns x 3, VDO gauges, all my lights, steering wheel, 17 " polished Vintage knock offs with tyres to fit, switches, side wings and sun visors, but no body or suspension. Hopefully, the body and chassis will arrive from RMC on the 28th and we can start getting into it. Take care of your new baby and congratulations.

Mike

I took mine for a quick blast in our back streets Sunday and was very very happy. So mine is close too!

My main hang up now is to get my dash finished proeprly and laquered - wood style dash - and then I have very little left to do. Getting the dash finished will enable me to drive it without worry about the weather causing damaging to the veneer.

A proper fuel filler pipe, alignment, quieter exhaust and windscreen are the major items left!

And I am now off to the garage to continue on the dash!!!!!

Ciao

Default Most Auditors feel like that......

NASSTY,

Did you leave your funny bone at the logon stage

As with most threads here they have a degree of humour, take it as such.

The Daytona is coming together, thanks. I hope it will look at least as good as Dru's......

Default Plastic dash

Sorry HSV if I wanted a plastic dash I'd go buy a Holden.........

...ah well equally it could be a Ford I suppose too.

However am after that basic wood look, thanks for the suggestion anyway

Cheers

Unfortunately, experience has taught me to take things you say with a grain of salt.

This is Mike's thread, start a new thread if you want to continue this banter

Default Check who started the banter...

NASSTY,

I was originally enquiring about the completion of your Cobra (which was the origin of Mike's thread) as our ONLY discussion was that yours would be ready last Xmas. I have built a car before and I know the difficulty/frustration with things taking longer than normal. It was a genuine enquiry to see what stage you are at (not as you seem to imply, that it was for some other reason) the more Cobra's we see on the road the better.

I hope this is clear enough for you.

Yep, still on track. I got the RWC and the weigh bridge ticket on Friday. The engineers report is done and I'm picking it up this afternoon. All that's left to do is stamp the VIN number on the chassis and stick the tyre placard on. Ill do those 2 jobs tonight.

This time tomorrow Ill be registered!

Cheers

And I guess the same question for the standard engine belt layout placard that is also needed?

Cheers

So Mike, no news from you today... hopefully that means you've been out terrorising the neighbourhood and not inside on the computer!

I don't think he'd be out driving Sambo..... he's probably stuck in the shed removing the "pusilanimous" exhaust, turning some coil-over collars anti-clockwise and generally "beautifying" his new car!!!
