I'm almost too ashamed to drive it with the pusilanimous underbody exhaust system on it at the moment.

Looks like it's hurry up and wait. The earliest I can get it booked into Vicroads is next Wednesday
It's been nearly 6 years. One more week isn't going to kill me.
Cheers

Very well done Mike!
How long did it take from final inspection to receipt of paper?
What's the process with Vicroads?
Cheers

Brett,
I'll be in Sydney for a couple of days mid September. It'd be good to catch up with you and the rest of the B-Club crew then. If not then I'm sure we'll have a great time catching up at the nationals.
Stephen
I'll give you the full run down of the Vic roads process next Wednesday. So far I've had to make an appointment to have it inspected. Vic roads charge you $33 to book an inspection appointment but at least this booking also acts as a TAC permit and allows you to legally drive the car to Vic roads.
I'd probably also pay the $33 just so I wouldn't have to wait in line at Vic roads. They can get pretty busy at times and it's a bit like a doctors waiting room.
Cheers

Mike,
Great news and a fantastic car. You have done a great job and very well engineered. If my CR turns out half as good as yours, I will be stocked..
Now for the mods :-)

Tha'ts great news Mike.
I'm really envious. I have my brand spanking new Gen 4 307 kw engine, 6 speed triptonic trans, MX5 seats, side mirrors, air horns x 3, VDO gauges, all my lights, steering wheel, 17 " polished Vintage knock offs with tyres to fit, switches, side wings and sun visors, but no body or suspension. Hopefully, the body and chassis will arrive from RMC on the 28th and we can start getting into it. Take care of your new baby and congratulations.

A big well done to you Mike.
So I am guessing come Wednesday night all the black tape will fall off, the under car exhaust will have rusted away and some pipes that come out the side will have magicaly appeared.
Some big chunky Ben Hurr spinners will have found there way back onto the wheels.
I am sre there is other stuff that I cant think of right now.

Hi Al,
You and Slowy must be on a mission to get yours registered. Don't your windsor motors run out of compliance at the end of this year or have you got a bit more grace period?
Cheers

Mike
I took mine for a quick blast in our back streets Sunday and was very very happy. So mine is close too!
My main hang up now is to get my dash finished proeprly and laquered - wood style dash - and then I have very little left to do. Getting the dash finished will enable me to drive it without worry about the weather causing damaging to the veneer.
A proper fuel filler pipe, alignment, quieter exhaust and windscreen are the major items left!
And I am now off to the garage to continue on the dash!!!!!
Ciao
