Talking NQ Chapter Breakfast

Hi all,
The NQ chapter of the Cobra club of Qld held its inaugural breakfast at the Centenary hotel this morning.

We had 6 cobra's turn up along with 15 people (would have had 4 more except for the rain further north) and created a lot of interest from the locals at the hotel. Check photos on my gallery (I hope I got this right)

A great time was had by all with a commitment to run another one (brunch this time) in approx 2 months at the "Port of Call" restaurant in Cardwell by the Sea.

Lots of cobra talk, lifting of bonnets etc with the finale being a drive by all the cobra's together down the strand (along the beach in Townsville) to show off these great machines.

We all figure that by the end of the year we should have about 15 cobra's coming to the breakfast / Brunch.

It was great to see everybody there.

Regards

Colin Hodson

What a great turn out. Sounds like a good time was had by all.

Colin, you can just email the photos to admin@cobracarclubqld.org.au and I'll throw them up on the club site and link them here.

Outstanding...couldn't be happier to hear it went well, and that there will be more in the future.
Congratulations on getting this idea off the ground.
Pictures didn't come out, but if you want to send them to my e-mail, I'll get them on the club web site.

It's a pity we're so spread out, how cool would it be to all meet in the middle somewhere.

Mind you that's a BIG middle area.....what is it from Bris vegas to Cairns.....something like 1,700 klms isn't it ?

Our run to Toowoomba was cancelled today due to the rain...so it was a bit of a fizzer.

Spent an hour or so EARLY this morning, ringing everyone who had said they were coming...over 30 people !!...and letting them know it was raining in Toowoomba, and the run and lunch was cancelled.

I even drove out to the B.P. Coomera in case we had any more turn up unannounced....thought I'd done everything I could to make sure I hadn't stuffed anyone's day up......then at 1-15p.m. I get a phone call from a VERY pissed pub owner up in Toowoomba ( Meringandan Pub ), with a very empty table and a booking for 30 people at 12 o'clock.......OOPS!

Looks like I'm not perfect......who knew !??

All the best,

Warren.

Here are some more pics for you all:

Here is LT65's baby. We all drove over for a look and see session.

And just a pic for you all. Here is what a Cobra driver doesn NOT want to see! I drove home in this for 3 hours. Never turned the wippers OFF! How keen is he?

Wazza & Craig,

I will get a disk with all the photos to you so that you can chose ones for the website, along with a bit of a blurb.

Regards

Colin

Well, what can I say. We thought we would set a high standard at the start and then deny everything after that. Mind you, we had to restrain Peter Liaros from laying a bit of rubber in front of the Hotel.
