Thumbs up Nationals 2007

We had a brekky meeting on Sunday, CCC that is, and apparently there is 100 entries for this years Nationals. (full field) how good is that !
How many entries do we have from above and below us , how big is the convoy going to be that are coming down Wazza, and how many coming up from the Southrn Parts.

See you all there folks should be sensational

Looks like we'll have about 18 Queensland cars entered.

We've also got a number of members happy to make the trip, even though they don't yet have a Cobra or GT40, so all up we should have approximately 50 Canetoads enjoying the event.

It's my favourite week of the year, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Getting an early start to the trip, with a short run and an overnight stay in Ballina next Tuesday, where 16 of us are having a meal/drink to kick the week off.
The others will come through early Wednesday morning, and we'll ALL be making our way down to Raymond Terrace for Wednesday night.

Then Goulburn for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, then up to the beautiful Bellinger Valley on the Monday Night, where we always have our own presentation night of sorts.

It usually turns out to be a huge night, and a great ending to a special week.

Peter Hancock's birthday falls on this weekend, and this year will be the big 40, so I guess we'll just have to have an extra drink for that as well.

I hope everyone gets to and from the Nationals in one piece, and I hope to catch up to plenty of old friends.

Can't wait !

Regards,

Warren.

Yeah...We used to drive straight through to Queensland, but these days we need to stop on the way home......too loaded down with trophies!!

Actually last year's effort by the few Cane toads that made the trip, by filling FIVE of the top SIX spots in the overall points ( King Cobra), wasn't too shabby !!

I don't expect we'll have as much success this year, but the fun is in the competing, and it's more important than winning......Bull*%#t

REALLY looking forward to the whole week....see ya there.

Regards,

Warren.
