161 laps who will win?
Just watching the Bathurst race..... ..
A beer and a barbeque seems to be the norm around here.
What are your thoughts who will win...
FORD or GMH HOLDEN
..
Are you a true Ford or Holden owner, or will the winner today influence your decision to purchase a Ford over a Hoden if they win..
The old adage - you win on Sunday and sell the cars on Monday..
Then again do you think that Ford or Holden get value from events such as Bathurst..
Fords on fire........ literally

As long as it's a good close race, I don't care who wins.
How good were the Camaros, XYs and Mustangs earlier this morning?
You can't beat big old V8 muscle cars running Bathurst on control tyres.
That power slide coming out of the last corner before taking the checkered flag was fantastic.

Ford, Ford and more Ford. Mmmm don't know about Qld. though..
After all that racing only 1.1 seconds between 1st and 4th. Now that's close.

I watched the last 40 laps or so and it was some great racing. Lots of carnage as the weather turned and plenty of changes of position at the front.
Well done Lowndes and Whincup on the win and the rest of of the Ford boys on the podium.
I had to say I enjoyed watching the action in the pits as the teams were changing pads and rotors. Amazing how fast they can swap out a set of rotors. The flyover cameras made for some great racing footage as they came down the mountain too.
Cheers

Just got home from the track.
It was a really good day - I was in the CAT tent on the Chase. We were all cheering until Bright put the CAT car in the wall!

Qld -
Craig Lowndes son of Frank - both Melbourne born and bred.
Jamie Whincup son of Graeme - both Melbourne born and bred
Oh well guess they will be claiming Aussie Mike next as a Queenslander and sending Rebel1 south in exchange...

Uncle Mike was adopted by us some time back. He is an honorable Queenslander.
Just cuz my great great great grand-daddy came over in the first fleet doesn't make me a criminal does it?.

Have to admit I was hoping for a Lowndes back to back and those last wet laps had me on the edge of the seat.
There were a few backgound views of Craig's car squirming over the top on several occassions, so the car control was fantastic!
Just got to figure out where to get my Ford cap and get Craig's signature on it!!
Cheers

Yeah, great to see Craig Lowndes come up with the win again. Great guy.
Craig just loves Cobras and GT40s, he just can't get enough of them. So he is just tops in my books.

Bernie
I saw several from Craig in those last laps when the pressure was on him, ie when the 2nd car was close enough to manage a pass if it came about, and at least one I saw, in a background shot, had the car out big time relatively speaking for the conditions.
With that much HP, on a wet track, on slicks, I take my hat off and have to hand it to them all for their driving skill. I can't even keep my tiddler on the on ramp with full grooves no speed no pressure!!!!!!!
Back to driving school for me, at least I'll be insured whilst being trained in that!!
The best racing finish I have seen in a long time bettered with the fact Ford came 1, 2 and 3!!!!!!!!!!!! Hoooooooowaaaaaaaa
Cheers
