Well done mate, you're doing the Harrison owners proud! What's left to do?
How's the visibility over the rear with those (raydot?) mirrors?
And just wondering did you go with the recommended springs and AVO shockers? I'd love a side shot if you have one.
Cheers,
Paul

07cob have you any shots close up on the raydots to show how you've mounted them? I'm trying to decide what mirror set up to use myself!
Car's looking good by the way.
Cheers

Slowy, go the raydots side mounted on the windscreen - you know you want to! My parts will arrive this week hopefully, feel free to borrow them for a test.

I've borrowed one raydot off Mike M so will be doing this trial shortly but I do like the traditional bullet look. Are you getting dots or bullets?
Cheers

Hi "One F"
The Cobra looks terrific....congratulations on a great job.
I'll have to make sure I don't RUB it at the track day at the end of the month....just jokes!
Regards,
Warren.

How did you go with the Harrison Factory Wheel Alignment?
What did Warwick think? I bet he was like a very proud father.
Well done mate, can't wait to see it in the flesh. The photos just don't do that colour justice.

I went for the chrome raydots after much deliberation. I was actually one click away from anodised aluminium but the bling won me over.

Just have to do a wheel alignment and then get through all the red tape.
The RH mirror is OK, the left is a passenger! If I had the option, I would mount both mirrors on the screen – as high as possible. I actually don’t mind the look.
I went with the standard AVO/King setup from Warwick for the shocks. Here’s a side shot for you.
Stephen
The mirrors are just mounted through the 'glass with a large (curved) washer on the inside for a backing plate. As Paul says – go the screen mounts if you actually want to see. I haven’t really tested mine, but the LH will be all but useless – despite many hours of ‘dry’ testing.
El Prez - Don’t worry about me on the track – I’ll be so far away from you that you won’t even see me!!
Craig - I am supposed to be heading up for the alignment and hoist review later today (weather permitting). I should be doing the alignment on the weekend.
Cheers all

Geoff, sorry I thought you were going early in the week. Wish I had the time this week to pop down and see it.
Yeah, it's a tough call with the mirrors.
The mirrors look better in my opinion mounted directly to the body, but they work much, much better if mounted to the windscreen(Raydot only). The extended base Bullet mirrors give the best vision for body mounted mirrors.
Seated height(actually head height) also plays an important factor in visibility through the side mirrors.
The center mirror works very well in a Cobra, so good in fact that I only use the side mirrors for blind spot. Mirrors become a little more important with the top on.

Geoff,
You are right regards the passenger side mirror - useless.
Mine is purely there for cosmetic reasons i.e. providing some symmetry to the car along with the double hoops.
You will find that as Craig says without the roof the interior mirror picks up most things, and as the car is open a simple turn of the head picks up the rest.

Thanks Geof. I'm curious as to how you've routed the exhaust - any pictures handy? Also are they 16 or 17 inch wheels? And did you trim the "mudflap" shape off the lower part of the rear wheels arches? It's an unusual shape from the factory, unlike any other Cobra I've seen.
Cheers

I'll take some photos from under the car over the weekend if I get a chance. The exhaust shop did a great job of hiding the mufflers - I just hope they are quiet enough. The wheels are 16".
I know what you mean about the *mudflap*. That photo is quite deceptive - there has been no trimming in that area - straight out of the mould to the painter!!

Oh really? Must be the darker coloured paint that hides them!
Re exhaust pics please don't go out of your way, I'm just curious - did your exhaust hug the bellhousing and run through the cavity beside the gearbox or go under the chassis rails? Mufflers are mounted under the boot floor on either side of the tank I imagine?
