First "real" drive.. Wow
As the title suggests, I had my first real drive today with my brakes fixed and wow, what a buzz. I fitted the small reaction disc to the brake booster, boy what a difference.
The car still needs a wheel alignment, (wheels are still not centering after a turn and it feels generally "nervous") but it was so much fun.
Here's a picture in almost "ready for rego" trim.
Here's my front seat passenger for test driving.

Plums, I know of some cobra owners who like listening to 60's rock music whilst driving their cobra. but.....
I have never struck one who wanted access to norty movies whilst on their first drive....until now
You're gonna tell us that the laptop is for tuning ...... yeah right!!!
Congrats mate....looks bluddy fantabulous.

Well done Bobby, it is a bit of a rush those first times out.
Like the Bolleywood lookin seats!! In any other coloured car I'd say they'd look crap but black on white - hooooose the man!!
Keep on testing!
Sunday's looking like being a mighty fine day over here for testing, if i can get my tank back in and windscreen returned.
Here's to test driving!
Cheers
Steve

Hi Bobby,
Well done mate, it looks great. The black really makes
those shiny wheels stand out.
Don't forget the Cobra weigh in and BBQ on Sunday,
we will be able to see how the 'Dark side' balances out
with all that alloy up front, you may end up very close
to a 50/50 ratio. See you there.
Harry.

Bobby
What are the wheels you've got on your car there? Size source cost?
Cheers

Looks awesome Bobby, in fact very "Darth".
What are those seats based on, some kind of moulded bucket? Are they ADR approved by any chance? Cheers.

The roll bar is only "satin" because I haven't polished it yet.
The seats are from G-force, don't know about ADR compliance but apparently they go through rego no worries.
Wheels are Vintage Wheels from the US. They are 17 x 8.5 and 10.5, with 4.675 backspace. At the time they cost me about $3000 landed. Tyres are 235/45 and 315/35.
Still lots of stuff to do, but Im getting there slowly.
Will certainly be at the Cobra weigh in on Sunday if the weather is good...

Looks tough Bob.
I think I need to start thinkng about getting mine in colour.
The roll bar looks great in satin silver, I think I'll get mine powder coated now.
I adjusted my shocks yesterday while I did a service and took it out this morning, man it launches!!
Stalled it up to 2200 and let rip with next to no wheel spin. Any higher stall at the moment just produces a line lock.
I can't wait to get the auto worked over now!
Gav
