Default Update of my build.

This is where we're up to at the moment. The imperfections in the body contours have been removed, the whole car has been filled, wet and dried dead smooth then undercoated. The under-belly has been coated with the thick, black, anti stone guard paint.

You will probably never see another Cobra painted this colour. Just use the old imagination and think what it's going to look like with the silver / grey GT stripes front to rear and all the chrome work fitted up, including the big polished Vintage knockoffs and side pipes.

At this time, it has only had one coat of colour. There are another two to go then five coats of clear, followed by the final flow-coat.

We are reay to start building. Check out those Spax adjustable Gas Shocks hanging off the front end.

Lookin good Baz,

Your car is going to be really cool. Are you going for a full show car? The underneath will be one of the best Cobras around.

I considered a very similar colour to yours, but have ended up sticking to my original plan of an orange pearl.

Cheers,

Ben

Tis looking great Baz. You're doing a great job.

As to the colour ... Seen it before .... It exists on a BRB cobra here in Brissy whose owner will remain nameless......until he shows up in here again.

Looks even better on the whole car.

and......

What are you doin with my spax shockies??

The colour is exactly like you described in a previous update post. If that is what you were trying to achieve, you have nailed it!! Well done.

As a well known Qld Polly once said, "Please explain?"

Sorry, I had no idea that they were your Spax shockies Rebel. After forking out $1,274 for the four of them, I really thought that I owned them. Silly me.

Boxhead,

Because you showed me yours, does that mean I've got to show you mine?

Baz.

Rebel,

Neil Streeting acquired my coil-overs for me. Don't know where he got them from, but at that price, they better work well.

They seem like a good alternative to the AVO shocks... did you guys consider other brands and if so, what made you go for the Spax? Also, what are the min/max travel lengths for the CR? Thanks

Baz,

Your combo is looking excellent. You will have a seriously quick machine with the LS2 and tiptronic.
