Ready to go
Yep I will be there,
Diff back together, run in at WSID last night.
I figure if I brake it again I will still have time to fix it before the shelby fest.
Phil

Phil, Stef and Acecob,
I will be attending Eastern Creeek on 1st Feb with my family and have decided to take you up on the Ford V Holden challenge with conditions.
As you know, my Cobra is still 'Under Construction', but my tin top is a stock standard WH Statesman with a massive 3.8 litre motor, professionally built and installed by GMH.
If you are prepared to give me a 9 second handicap, I'm quite prepared to line up the Statesman.
Let me know your answer ASAP as I have to pack the 'Chute'.
In all seriousness, I hope you knock off the 11 seconds barrier Phil, for that matter you too Stef and Acecob, and that the three of you come away with everything in tact. I'll be cheering for you all from the stands. Up the Cobra's.. Yeah.
Baz.

Acecob,
Would love to make your acquaintance, but there is a small logistical problem to overcome in order for that meeting to occur.
We will be in the stands with the rest of the spectators. I haven't been to Eastern Creek for a long time, but the norm is that spectators and competitors are separated.
You guys will no doubt be in the pit area.
How do we get access from where we are to where you are?
Baz.

yoh Baz,
At wsid you can literally go everywhere the only place you wont be able to walk into is the area inside or under the tunnels leading into the staging lanes.
See you there

Acecob, Phil or Stef,
What's the situation if the weather stays a bit nasty like it is at the moment. Will you guys still be going? Will the drags still take place? Thought there may be a small issue with traction.

I work a few km's away from the raceway.

Phil,
Let us know if your going. Were in the Shire. It's a little overcast here, but we're a fair way from the drag strip.

Had a great night at the Drags.
Well it was dry so at 6.45pm decided to make the drive from The Shire to W.S.I.D. Loaded up the camera gear, tripods etc., and set off dodging stationary Police Speed Cameras on Heathcote Road and the fixed Speed Camera at Bonnyrigg.
Arrived at the Dragway about 1 hour later to find that I was the only one there. The event had been cancelled and the gates were locked.
Returned home, quite depressed and watched the Cricket, just in time to see the last Indian fall in the 17th over. At least something went right. :

Oops
Hey Baz,
I should have posted something.
Like Pete, I was really looking forward to a few runs and having a good yak.
I will have a go on wednesday next week if the weather is good.
