Default 2 year anniversary......

I count Austrailia day 2006 as the day I officially commenced work on my car, so it might be a good time for a little update.

Ive prepped and painted underneath, have affixed the wheel well aluminium (in the engine bay) and started running the hard fuel lines. The drivetrain is still missing a clutch and tailshaft, but hopefully should see those arriving in the next month - then the body will go back on for the last time and Ill start the wiring and finish plumbing. I will be prepping and painting the body on the chassis.

I reckon another 2 years ought to have her done....

Default Nice Brackets

Hi Andrew,
Love the brackets, are you going to polish them?

Thats not bling and Im painting them black . Made out of necessity as I wanted something that looked a bit neater then you standard P clamp, and shop bought ones are exxy. Very simple - 12 x 20 bar and drill press and the "circular aluminium glitter maker" (drop saw). Underneath just painted with the KH underbody spray on - easy to use. In the engine bay, any bits not covered in aluminium (which are pretty out of sight anyway) I used por 15 in silver as it is a reasonable match for the aluminium.

Tenrocca, or seeing we are mates, can I call you "Ten",

We are running neck an neck with our build at this time.

Check out my 'Gallery."

I hope to be on the road by August this year, so come on dude, can't we reduce that anticipated "street-meet my Cobra" time by a few months?

2 years seems a long way off. I'll be 65 by then.

Watch my " Gallery" and keep in touch.

Baz.

That looks pretty good for a Sydneysider.

That Por15 is bonza stuff. Very durable as a coating on fiberglass.

2 years and Ill still beat 40

Seriously - hopefully towards the end of the year Ill be ready for engineering. Still a lot to do before now and then, but hoping things will progress relatively quickly once the body goes back on.

Default Weathering

Andrew,
Probably best if you stay out of the sun for a while, as you don't look like you are under 40.

This is the year of the 40th for me.

Phil

Does 35 count as late 30's or do I have to give mine back and try again in a few years?
