well done Hogster but we need photos

the jobs not done til the .... <ok I just checked the gallery>

very nice looking job

Plus you have the added advantage of being able to fire-up those twin gas burners and have a barbie on the hot-plate right in the engine bay

Sorry -- I didn't see you signature where it says, 347 Windsor. Are you running petrol or LPG? Are the Windsor engines going to be street legal for kits completed after 2008?

Rickmoss

Seems the windsors are legal to the end of 2008.

Unless someone else re-reads the good book and gets another extension. The L series seem to be able to do it, why not ford too?

Cheers

Yes Rick...
Stroked 5 litre windsor block,
Twin Impco gas carbies, on a dedicated gas engine.
As Alfie has said previously, when we applied to build our cars in the NT you could put just about any engine in there if it is dedicated gas. I don't think there has been any change in that attitude.

Is that true Stephen? I certainly didn't know that. Is that written down anywhere for reference?

Craig

That seems to have happened here in Victoria for sure. I think the simple explanation was that the rules were being read as compliance until 2008 - assumption 31 Dec 2007 but no 31 Dec 2008 is 2008!! - Doh

We have been told an engineer down here argued this through with VicRoads and it was accepted so there is a precedent.

I presume it should apply to the other States too, if the wording is the same.
