Hi Rick
Good to hear from you there.
The GT40 is surprisingly very comfortable.
After doing the Route66 in the GT40 I knew I was hooked.
I have a bit of work to do to the car to finish off. None of it is major just a tidy up and finish off.
I will be talking with Hershal in the next day or two. Hopefully I'll make a few events there this year. I have the Run N Gun in my plans and possibly the Tulsa event with Clois and Hershal..
Look forward to catching up.

Had to change schedule because of work this weekend. Not coming to Dallas until March 15, now. Everything is topsy turvey (sp) up here. Going back to Austin Feb 27-29 to have routine meeting with Texas Comptroller. I will let you know more as I know more.

Chaperon the kids
hey, lilcobra I hope you have time to keep an eye on the bigger silly kids. Clois mistress is getting all fixed up for the new dance. Make sure he behaves and drives easy. He doesn't need a broken motor for R&G. Watch out for the other guy also Lew. You have clout, thrown them off the track for high speed. Hope you have a nice trip to Ireland. Bill F might be going too. 20 degrees outside today with the sun and 20 mph wind. looking forward to the warner weather. Rick L.

Hershal arrives here on the 5th of March and we have a great trip planned for him, the F1 and the Phillip Island classics..think he heads home about the 18th.
So we will do some planning for the stateside trip.
.....
I know Anne wants me away for a while most of the construction work is being finished here...

Rick,
No problem will look after Hershal. It's great that he heads in on March 5th as we have a Victorian Cobra Car club meeting that night. So will take him along. It's been a while since I have been also!!
Now if Kristens' heading to Ireland it would be good to have her down under at some time. Mmm her priorities are all messed up. She said she was heading down here first.
Australia second or third on her list of travels...
Bernie

Kristen,
Mmm and the credit card in Paris shops..
In the interest of the National debt I feel you should stay well away from;
The haute coutre on Rue du Faubourg Saint - Honore and well away from Avenue Montaigne.
These areas are real no go zones.
They unfortunately have the likes of Christian Dior, Cartier, Chanel, Chaumet along with Van Cleef and Arpels.
All seem to do one hell of lot of damage to Anne's credit card..
Have fun in Ireland.

Place to stay in Sydney for Hershal.
Bernie,
If Hershal wants to see the sights of Sydney Town and also needs somewhere to stay, he is more than welcome at my home for as long as he likes.
Check it out with him and if necessary, send me a PM.
Baz.

Bernie,
I have the PM and fully understand the tight schedule. If I can help in any way at all, just let me know.
The build is going slowly. Neil Streeting who is the brains behind the build, had one of his mechanics leave him overnight with no notice, just before Christmas. That only left Neil and another mechanic to run a very busy workshop. He has finally replaced the deserter, but is way behind in where he wanted my car to be at this stage.
There's four Cobra's in his workshop requiring his mechanical expertise at the moment as well as the everyday run of general servicing for other cars.
As you will see in my 'Gallery', the under-belly and engine bay of my RMC has been painted. Once the new engine / gearbox mounts are welded into place, the chassis can go for zinc and powder coating. When that is done, I can start doing the basic bolt-on work and it should progress steadily from there.
The dash has to be drilled out for the instruments, then I can get it and the seats off to the trimmers.
It sure takes a long time, but I want an excellent finished product so I'm not rushing things.
Don't forget that if things change for Hershal and you need some help in Sydney with transport or accomodation, just left me know.
The shoulder has repaired quite well. I've played four rounds of 18 holes without any problems and it looks like I will end up with full movement.
Keep in touch.
Baz.

Brett,
Will do. We will more than likely stay overnight. I'll drive up in the ute as if there is time permitting, I head back via the coast and do the sites there.
