Slowy,

Was just talking gauges with the guys at Mt. Gambier racing Metalworx and they have just purchased VDO marked as Smiths.

No problem and fitting this week.

Mmm perhaps re check with Howards..

I have had a number of gauges from Howards and found them to be be great and far cheaper. Customer support has always been good as well.

.. 10/10 from me

Bernie

Have no problem with Rodger Howard and his product, just diappointed that the small marking is no longer being used. It was just one of those little indicators you pick up on when looking at details.

Just literally got off the phone from Rodger and he emphatically indicated he is no longer using the Smiths markings, so maybe the Mt Gambier crowd have received older stock?

The new Howard gauges are using the through dial lighting system, as used in modern cars, and non-paper graphics applications. This gives his gauges longevity in an open toped car exposed to full sun, cleaner and clearer graphics and better lit gauges.

Anyway I'll just have to get used to what I've got for now!

Yes perhaps old stock.

The gauges you talk about have been fitted to Rob Hamiltons Cobra and they look very good. I did not notice if Robs' had Smiths on them.

Guess that may mean no one else will..

Tenrocca,

Each to their own, but I hardly think Blair's gauges make his dash look like a "ricer".

They suit the car and look as they were made for such a car.

And thats why we are all individuals

i.e. I own a ricer as well as a Yanki car, as well as an Australian made english bodied american engined car too - Individual!
