Les,
Here are a couple of pics of my repositioned mounting brackets. They were originally placed at 10 degrees, but we increased that to 42 degrees. This makes the steering far smoother and prevents any bind through the column. Also illiminates bump and torque steer. The rack is the latest from RMC and is a shortened Commodore model.

is putting them into my car. He imports them in from the States and they are fantastic. Whenever I see another Cobra in his workshop that is experiencing handling problems, I know immediately that they will be getting these great upper arms fitted.
The set including the screw in Ball Joints were $450. They make alignment so easy.

Neil sources these from factory five. Go to their site and check up the parts page. He has also fitted these to a few CR's.

Just so long as I can rewind / retract the arms enough to drag the top of the tyre in to get the settings I'd originally thought about achieving. It's funny how you come across items that would make issues so much easier to manage, such as alignment! Never knew these existed for the Jaguar set up.
Maybe a later item though. Too many other things to get right including the car!! Hopefully Marty has some good advice for me tomorrow night at the club meeting.
Can anyone indicate if these are strictly legal?

There is no probelms as far as the legality of these arms are concerned in NSW, but can't assist with Victorian Regs.
Neil has put numerous Cobra's through the full initial Engineers Inspections and RTA checks before Rego without any problems.

I'm guessing then they'd be legal down here too.
Are the bottle jacks locked in place only by the nuts at each end or is there secondary locking by some means?

Steve,
What you see is what you get. They appear to retain their tension quite well. I don't know of anyone who has had problems with the nuts unwinding.
They are certainly a bit improvement on the original.

Hi Baz, does the bar that attaches to the chassis bolt in the same place as the Jag upper arm or do you need to make adjustments.

I'd be interested in the answer too, as I had presumed from your picture that the top pivot arm looked the same as the jag part, or is the jag part used with the supplied parts.
What is the go with this part of the arm?

I've checked with Neil so disregard the info in your PM. This is what he has told me to do.
"The Upper Arms require either a plate to be drilled to the same bolt pattern as the Arm and then welded to the chassis or fill the existing Arm mounting holes with weld then re-drill to suit hole pattern of the new Arms."
Either way, it is a very simple modification and you will be extremely impressed with the results that you achieve.

No. The Upper Control Arm comes complete and the Jaguar Arm is totally removed. The Lower Control Arm remains Jag.
The Ball Joint that is supplied with the new adjustable arm requires a ferrule, so the taper of the ball joint matches the upright. Neil Streeting can supply these ferrules. Contact him at:
streeto@tpg.com.au.

All that good work and they stuff it up with a pivot mount that doesn't match the standard jag bolt set up! If some one was going to copy the jag arrangement, you'd think that would have been a given.
I'm presuming the standard jag pivot doesn't fit straight to the manufactured arms?

Stephen - these arms are not a copy of the jag setup. They are of a factory five, which uses a mustang front suspension geometry. Here is the link to this part on the FF site:

That is why it needs to be adapted to the jag setup.

When you say a ferrule, I note the ball joint location is threaded on the FF part. Does the ferrule fit into the thread and then allow a standard ball joint to sit inside the ferrule itself?
