hey Paul,
Well done mate. Great to hear that Colin and Shelley headed over to meet the arrival of the SPF. as 400TT mentioned they are great supporters of the club and obviously their customers.
It looks far to high at the front - mate you need a big heavy motor now to get it down right..
Have fun.

Baz...yep, it's the GM 427ci LS seriers motor, dry sump ect...I know that the old Ford vs Chev debate gets a lot of people excited, but I was simply seduced by the magical 427 number and it's Euro 4 compliant!
Cameron...Whilst I'm really looking forward to seeing my car completed, I'm also trying not to wish away each of my "baby" steps...I'm going to cherish each step, one step at a time....I got to discuss traction control choices last night with my installer and I even got excited about that!
Really looking forward to the trip up to the Nats!
Chris....My wife was very supportive and she has also been hearing me talk about Cobra's for as long as we've been married! No tears on the day, but bucket loads of adrenalin!!!
Regards.....Paul

Mmmm GM 427 ... yes that will get the front down.
I drove a SPF with a 351 stroker at Costa Mesa - Hillbank - and it was a nice car. Later at the Run N Gun I drove one with a Shelby aluminium block. Fun also!!
The GM 427 will be great. I think Garrett - Justbetter - is or has placed one in his SPF..
Again, a really neat Cobra hope you have lots of fun..

Thanks Bernie,
You're right, it is sitting a bit high in the front hey??
Maybe a big, but "not so heavy" motor in the front will fix it??

Well done Paul, you must be stoked finally having it over here.
Now, down to business,
1 - How long will your Cobra be in York at Mark's workshop?.
2 - How would you and Mark feel about holding your shed run at his shop?.
3 - It would raise a lot of Cobra Club interest to have a breakfast run to York
then have the tour and shed run to follow up.
I am sure there would be a huge Cobra turnout for a run like that, we generally have at least two runs a year to 'Bugatti's' Cafe in York.
Do you think Mark would give a short talk on supercharging to the members attending.
Here's hoping the idea appeals to you and Mark.
Cheers,
Harrymac.

Looks good, Paul.
My SPF (AUS04) spring settings were all over the place on delivery. Worth a look!

Harrymac - I really don't know how long Mark will need...I suspect it will be 6-8 weeks?? I'll speak with Mark and ask him if he'd be up for hosting a shed run and a talk to a bunch of fellow performance car junkies!
Richard - Thanks for the tip...Yes, we'll have to go right through the suspension, brakes, alignment and usual suspects as part of the "shake down" process... Any other tips from others are more than welcome!!
Regards......Paul

Thanks Paul,
It would be nice to have your engine in and running at the time of the run.
There is a club meeting on this Wednesday, hope you can make it.
Harry.

Sorry Harry, I won't be able to come along to the meeting this week as I'll be in Sydney...I commute to Sydney for work and am there 3-5 days a week depending on what's going on at work and at home... With regards to the shed run, I agree, it would be nice to have the motor in and running...I'll speak with Mark next week to see if I can arrange something!
Regards....Paul
