Default For Sale: 200 slightly-used HSV LS3 Drivetrains

"HSV's first high performance model, where the whole drivetrain has to be 'scrapped', the W427, could be a boon for hotrodders."

For Sale: 200 slightly-used HSV LS3 Drivetrains – Car Reviews, News & Advice - CarPoint Australia

Does this imply that the 427 has met our emissions standards?

From what I understand even you NSW guys can buy 2nd hand LS7 engines from the USA and get them complied here. RTA requires that you obtain the VIN number from the USA donor vehicle, so that means you cannot use new crate motors. I got this information 2nd hand from a customer, I will get it confirmed soon.

I might certainly be in the market for an LS3 or two depending on price.

This is fantastic news for all the darksiders, the abundance of Chev engines available for kit cars. Now the darksiders can take those horrible Cobra shaped bodies off and fit the Perenti body ( Corvette replica's ), then they will be in heaven and not have to use a Ford copy to cover their Chev engine and they can even have their own forum.
'I wonder???' tee, hee, hee.
