Default For the darksiders - RCR SL-C Photos

Not a bad home for a Chev.

LS7 with aftermarket cam. On the engine dyno with stock cal & stock corvette headers it produced 626HP. Much more HP to come...

A couple of other teaser shots...

This is actually the same SL-C that my brother will be racing at Run N Gun later this year.

Oh, also, those panels are gelcoat, straight out of the mould, no buffing, no polishing, nada. The car also has perfect body gaps straight out of the mould. Nice hey.

Got a couple of these already ordered for Aus. Can't wait to get them here. Let me know if you want to see more pics.

Wow... looks stunning. I hope John has a parachute, and a extra room in the strides for the XXXL kahunas it will take to test the limits of that weapon.

I love it!!

What a weapon! Just awesome.

Stupid question...Which of the RCR cars are registerable?

All of them. With the full factory support I'm now receiving from RCR USA all the cars will be effectively factory compliant for Aus. Still lots of work in front of us, but we will be working with engineers in most states and presenting factory demo cars to sort out compliance issues.

By July we will have over a dozen RCR cars here. Things are hotting up.

Also available for the SL-C are removeable 4 point door bars for track days.

Don't you just love the shape of that windscreen. It's certainly pushing the envelope. Oh and yes that windscreen is compliant.

Want to see her naked?

Skuze me Mr Craig Sir, the LS7 only needs one (1) cam to make that insane horse power.

Not like those other.....ermmmmm don't matter

Sorry Les, I must have overhead cams on the brain or something.

Certainly don't want to upset any darksiders...they seem to outweigh the Ford supporters here these days.

I've just seen this thread for the first time. Jeez, I might have to sit at my work desk for a while until I can get up and walk around the office without people looking at my trousers...
The yellow car looks OK, but the car looks sinister in black!!!

Thumbs up Craig

How mild or wild was the cam you used, do you have any specs you can share? The 600 plus hp, is that at the crank ?

626 hp on the engine dyno is the hp at the crank. Pretty impressive with the stock tune and stock pipes. Apparently a well tuned LS7 with a reasonable cam and good pipes will make over 700 hp...

I'll find out the details of the parts used if I can. It was a brand new crate engine and they spent something like US$3000 on it internally including labour.

Plums, I think they are hoping for close to 700HP at the crank and still perfectly streetable...amazing. But sounds like it could possibly have more.

Craig your not the only one. Yeah, black really gives it that bad ass look and it has the performance, sound & HP to match.

The cost to build that particular car here in Aus would be around $90k. You could tame it down a little and still build a nice SL-C for around $70k. Now that's value for money in my books.

Also the kit is supplied with digital dash unit that comes standard with data logging, 2-axis G-sensors, infra-red lap timer receiver & optional GPS...perfect for track days.

Any photos of that digital dash please Craig?

Also how adjustable is the ride height, both for rego purposes and clearing speed humps, etc?

That's pretty good value when you add up how much all your instuments cost.

Here's some more detail: DD2-Lite

Cheers

The actual instrument package supplied with the SL-C is the higher model - DigiDash 2 Pro+.

ETB Instruments - DD2-PRO PLUS

We are also getting a special Aus version with required changes for compliance.
