Default I finally got one

After 40 odd years of dreaming and never being able to make ends meet enough to get one I have finally done it, Im now the proud owner of a Cobra purchased and paid for this morning. Im not sure what brand it is yet but will find out later today when it is in my workshop but the basics are it was first registered with a non efi 302 (so now I have somewhere to park my webers) is british racing green and if it is not to much trouble will be registered and back on the road by the end of the week. Will try and get some pictures up later on
Cheers Cobraed

Congratulations and welcome to our mad world!

What State are you based in?

Both gettings pictures up and talking / meeting with your local cobra club members wil rapidly increase your knowledge and of course help to identify what it is that you have bought.

Cheers

Congrats mate, I bet you can't wait to get it back to the workshop. Sounds like it has been a very long term dream of yours and now a reality.

Yeah, when you get a chance, would love to see photos.

Can agree with the loving pics.
Pre efi rego is a great thing in my books.
Is the car fitted with a manual box or is it auto?

P.s welcome to the nut house.

I can fill in a few of the gaps in the info.....

Cobraed is in darwin. He's the guy who built my engine.
Ford nut......great engine builder/machinist type guy. Great bloke. One of those people that I am envious of cause he's got skills. And now theres another reason......His car will be running shortly.

I think the kit is Classic glass, and is fitted with auto

I will help Ed upload some photo's this week. He is probably crawling around in his car right now with a silly grin on his face and won't read this for a few days.

Congratulations Ed - you deserve it.....don't forget my 289 cam

Regards
Hogster.

Default Finally got one

The longer you wait the sweeter it is. My story is an echo of your story. I've wanted one since I was 18. That was so long ago it is ancient history.
I picked up my Cobra on May 16 and still occaisionally got out to the garage to make sure it is not a dream. Enjoy yourself. You have earned it.

Jim

Does it need much work? How are you gonna go with MVR? Do you have to go through the whole process?

Default Cobra Ed's new Mistress

As stated by Ed, got the photos sorted today.

A little cleaning and tidying up, and the old girl will look a million bucks. ADR compliance in 1995 with engineers approval. CARBY on the top.....all legal.

Well done Ed.

Well done ED, looks like all is there, with a bit of elbow grease and time you should be able to tidy the car up well.

As said, it is a bonus being a carbie fed Ford (even if all that weight means it wont handle )
