Some pretty average machines tucked away there!
I like this quote, "The only competition to the L88 came in the form of A/C-bodied, 427-powered Cobras."
Is that red one in the background an original? Hard to tell. Judging by the other pedigrees I'd say potentially yes.

Real Cobra?
I'd say more than probably "yes".

There may be TWO Cobras in that shed. The red with white stripe is obvious, but there is another pic that just barely shows the nose of a Cobra that appears to be red with silver stripe?
Good hunting...

By the shape of that front bar, it looks like the legendary Dick Smith car. (not Aussie Dick Smith.)
On a closer look, the rear of the first Cobra has the same bar but doesn't look like a ridgey didge Cobra.
It may be the same one in all shots as they have moved the 'vette for the close interior shots.

OK lets see if we can put a value on the cars in this shed..
If the Corvette is any indication..
The neat little '32 fully fendered Coupe at about $150,000, the '34 highboy at about $120,000 and it goes on....

I reckon it looks to sit a little too low for an original - i could be wrong though.

Using the e-mail address given on the advert..."Family classic cars"...I've found where this beauty comes from.
The attached website shows they have a Kirkham, but no details on the red Cobra.
Also......Wait for the home page to finish downloading...it's a very cool website.

Warren.

I live about two miles from Family Classic Cars and it is right next to the Costco my wife and I visit almost weekly in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The Cobra I believe is a Superformance which has been on and off ebay for about 6 months. I can drive by this weekend to confirm.
There are no genuine or original Cobras in the building, which is a concrete tilt-up wood roof diaphragm construction in an industrial park. They do have, however, a really nice Wimbledon white and Guardsman blue striped 1967 Mustang Shelby with inboards. A nice collection of consigned cars indeed inside that 'barn'.

Baz.
.. now if you could get those damn girls out of the way or out of the shed we could see the cars.
Mmmm no guess as to which would be the highest maintenance and cost items there..
