Im just putting my 540 together using a 05 GTP 290 6 speed Brembo's
We are just fitting the Dash and have worked out you can't use the heater airconditioner unit. I rang DRB they said they have something in the pipe line but nothing available yet. We sat down and done some measurements and worked out that if we cut a section out of the aluminium in the centre and restrengthen it and remodify the heater airconditioner unit it would fit.....Anyway after a cut and shunt of the box get rid of the airconditioner remount the the heater core custom make a new bottom section for the box use the original fan with a piece of 100mm flex running to the custom made lower box....
We can now use the original controls on the dash and have warm air on the windscreen or change the controls to have warm air come out the centre vents....sorry no warm air at the floor there's only so much you can do with no space!! Yes we have used the original motor wind mechanism... one of the controls will be hooked to a tap to turn the hot water on and off
