Bernie,
Scotty from Exhaust Bros may not want his '34 coupe anymore.
You should give him a call if he's back from the cleaners.

MAN that's terrible. Watch the chassis flex. Ouch. It has got to be a glass body as steel wouldn't be in the same shape after that big flop and chassis flex. I like the EK's effort.

From what I hear, they checked the car out after this, found all ok and he kept racing with more runs.
Aparently the car was going in for a rebuild soon after this, the owner wanted to see how it would go on a hard launch, I think he found out.

I love a good wheel stand!

How often does this happen..
Just reading about wheel stands and racing...
I have driven the Cobras around for over eight years and now more recently the GT40, but I must say I have never had as many idiots try to race me as I did on Saturday last.
It must have been a full moon..
At every traffic light I think I had some idiot give me the thumbs up and race off - being a sensible mature driver I let them go. Then on the third light I just let go and disappeared...
I don't know if it was just the luck of the draw or if it is getting worse on the roads..
Then I watched the news on Sunday night and the Police attended 6 major accidents with mainly young guys involved. Three killed in Melbourne alone. They called it street racing or drag racing which reflects on the legal racer.
Maybe I'm just getting old.. ..It is the same when I'm out in the XR8 utility.
Does it happen to you a lot more when your out in the Cobra or your performance daily driver...
Bernie

I dropped of my sons Supra Turbo down the coast a little while ago. On the way I could not believe the number of highway heros coming up beside me and trying to provoke a race. Even had a police car sit beside for while(My wife who was following me, said they looked over at me, must have seen the gray hair, then took off).

I bought a 350z and everyday someone wants to race me. They just HAVE to pass me. Through unfortunate bad luck I was down to 3 points and if I farted I would lose my license so I drive to the limit. Much to the discust of most drivers. BUT the fun comes at roundabouts andtight corners. I don't slow down...still within the speed limits but way faster than the people that MUST beat me. Ha ha ha. I'm trying to build the Cobra to do the same (with a little more HP of course) Fun can be had at 60kph !

As my user name would imply, I have a HSV and my wife has a 99 Magna sports.
I get far more boy racers wanting to take on the magna than the Clubby.

There are things the police will not pull you over for, I suppose gray hair would be one of them.
You must get a good assortment of tickets.

Trularin,
It is the static cameras that seem to get most. Cameras hidden behind signs over freeways or hanging off the back side of over head bridges. Sneaky...Mmmm...
Just f.#cking revenue collection by government that try and convince motorists that the cameras are there to save life.
The only life they save is the life of the Politician who has over spent his/her budget..
