Xmas in July group was away this weekend...... drove up the Brisbane Valley, Wivenhoe dam, and Esk, then across to Toowoomba yesterday.
When we arrived we couldn't see 100 metres.....Toowoomba was in the clouds...as thick as I've ever seen it.
BIG night...lots of fun, and a decent bar tab was reached.
Came back through Murphy's Creek, Lockyer, and Grantham...still a horrible mess after the flogging they got in the Jan/Feb Floods.....Just got home.

Wazza,
Had the Mustang Convertible out this week, as I thought it would be good to run some fuel through and put new fuel in. Whoa it was windy, raining and one with the lot including some flooding..
The only time the roof was down was in the basement garage. Then again it is winter.

We had a good run on the Sunshine Coast today after some awful weather yesterday. No fog but lots of rain. We joined the Noosa Classic Car Club at the old Apollonian Hotel at Boreen Point on Lake Catharabah. We had about 15 there and some of the Cobras and 40's took centre stage among Mercs, Bristols, Arbaths, Ford GTs, Toranas, Triumphs, etc.

Pity you couldn't make the effort to get along to your club's function.

Our daughter and son in law were up with us for the weekend and we wanted to do something local, as did a number of others here- not Club members. Christmas in July at Warwick was a bit far. No apologies warranted I believe. Hope you had a good time too. Thanks for the Christmas cheer Warren.

Never used to be too far before we had a "Northern" chapter who don't seem to be able to support anything that's not within 20 klms of home.
Now drop it Merv.

I dont think Merv started anything, all he did was let people know he had a nice driving weekend, just because he did not attend a club run that was on the same weekend doesnt warrant a please explain.
And people wonder why I dropped out of Cobra clubs.............

It is a very large state Warren, and we each do what we can in terms of the time we have available. As you know, there is no "northern chapter" but only an occasional run by a small group at the Sunshine Coast, usually organised each time by a different person, at times that do not clash with the Hope Island breakfast. Why not make the four hour trip and join them some time? And, please don't tell me what to do.

Totally agree.
I thought this was the pool room where anything and every thing can be discussed.

Now how the he'll do you get stressed driving your Cobra or GT40..
I find it such a joy to spend the day prior cleaning the car and heading off in the sunshine on Sunday..
now to do the ironing, a load of washing and vacuum..

I record it and watch it the next evening at a reasonable hour. Just have to be careful to stay away from the radio and news sites during the day to avoid the spoilers!
