Default A few pics after painting

Here are a few rough pics after painting. Not on the real camera and also before washing! And it rained just as I pushed it out.

Thanks Phil. Yes it will look when polished and in proper light. I wanted a somewhat 'subdued' look (if that is ever possible with a Cobra?) with the dark green seats and black leather dash and carpets. No side pipes and as little bling as possible.

Love the badgeing No mention of shelby. He'll probably get upset over that.

Sweet ride! Just make sure you keep the Funnel Webs and King Browns out of the passenger seat!

Thanks Geoff, David and Mike. Yours is looking good Geoff - but you have also seen it now. David - no funnel-web spiders up here but we have the browns and a really nasty and more aggressive one - the taipan. Hey, that could be a good Aussie Cobra name!

And Mike, the the "SC" Cobra badging will have to be on the clothes somewhere to keep the brand happy.

Many thanks,

Merv

Bluddy hell Merv, you will have to lift your act mate.

The boot latch is not straight in the closed position. If your gonna present such a nice car you gotta make sure It's presented perfectly.

Apart from that it looks excellent.

Beautiful job Merv. I don't think I have seen that color used before but I like it a lot!

Thanks Clois. It is a VW (and Mazda) colour Platinum Grey. Has lots of different effects depending on the light. Looks much lighter in full sun.

Nice job Merv. I knew you would love that color. I get a lot of compliments on mine. It has just the right amount of metallic with a little pearl in it.

Thanks again guys. I seem to have put up the same pic twice. A couple of others here - one in artificial light. I agree Jim, it was a good choice (and thank you) and when finally clean and polished and in some sun it looks good.

Geez David I am flattered! Crocs, snakes, Great Whites (there is a big one off our west coast now that is trying to tip boats over for more victims), .. and the Cobra?

Merv

Love the colour Merv and the understated look. Something tells me you'll still be turning heads though!

Any plans to add rear stays to those hoops?

No Sambo. I decided to have them black to reduce the amount of chrome and even considered leaving them off entirely.
