Thanks guys, still setting up but needless to say the bar fridge is now correctly positioned and stocked with essential supplies.

Mando the top arms are from Summit. SPC brand from memory. You can get straight arms which can be adjusted without having to undo one end - as I need to do with the bent ones.

Leroy it's a 1990s Mortal Kombat cabinet that I rescued some years ago. I'm running a MAME emulator on a PC with a 15Hz video card and cathode ray TV so it looks just like the old screens. It has thousands of games, a real time waster when it's up and running! Hoping to have it setup for our NYE house warming party.

This could almost be mistaken for an online invitation..... sounds like a great way to spend NYE.

Those games bring back my time in the 80's, at local hang out places (bowling alley, putt putt, fish and chip shop etc) on our BMX bikes. Amazing how long you could make .60c go back then.

I just picked up an upright arcade machine as a Christmas present to myself. My wife never knows what to buy so I helped her out.
It runs MAME as well and has near 2000 games loaded.

Arcade machines hold happy memories for me as a lot of my youth was spent around them. My first job after leaving school was building them.

Got a spot picked out in the man cave for it already.

Cheers

Fond memories here too Leroy. We used to tell Mum we were catching the bus up to the library in Glen Waverley but instead we'd catch it the other way to Dandenong and hang out in the arcade amusement place all afternoon. Not the safe, well lit venues we know today - this place was dark and seedy with no fresh air and sticky carpet. As they say, there's nothing quite like nostalgia...

Mike, I look forward to checking out your machine when I drop off the gearbox. What a job fresh out of school, how did you get any work done?

After sitting in customs for a week my Summit shipment finally arrived. Last night I fitted the new 300lb "high travel" springs from QA1. Pictured below against the old 250lb spring, they have roughly 1.5 fewer coils over 12".

When I removed the old spring it had sagged about 3mm, which I suppose is OK.

WOW what a difference the extra 50lb makes. I was able to unwind about 20mm of pre-load on the coilover and it's still firm on the road but with more travel before rebounding (damper settings unchanged) and far less jittery.

I also fitted a set of needle bearings under the springs. Makes adjustment a lot easier once they're in the car and less prone to binding.
