[quote=IvanG;918780]Hello all..

I have been interested in building a Cobra since I saw one in a classic A
Australian Ampol commercial many years ago.

Has anyone got this ampol add on a video or disc?
I would like to see it again.

Ivan, research is the key I love my DRB kit wasnt that hard to finish 2 years to drive around the yard but just under 5 years to finish and register. Never really finished.
have a plan and a budget and try to stick to it.
Remember its your car do what you want to make it look and be your dream weekender.
Good Luck the best forum to ask questions just here.

Good luck go hard

Thanks guys..

I've done an online search for the Ampol ad, with no luck unfortunately. So if someone does know of a copy in existence, we'd all love to see it!

I'll be leaving Melbourne around 7am on the Saturday morning of Shelbyfest so I expect to be in Winton by 9am or so.

Hi Ivan,

Craig mentioned he was thinking of tagging along - I am going up on Sat as well as a spectator, maybe we can head off together.

Ivan - make sure you get a good photo for yourself of all the different body shapes. I thought they all looked the same till you do a proper comparison. Some are certainly prettier then others.

Cheers

Sounds like a good idea. I'm in Croydon Hills so maybe my place would be good to meet.

I'll chat to Craig at work to see what he reckons.

Also make sure you beat him up to come over and have a look at my Cobra.

Or you are free to come over anytime just give me a yell.

Rgds
